I can’t believe Taylor Swift actually passed T-Series at one point in 2017, that’s the only channel T-Series couldn’t beat for a few weeks and Whindersonnunes grew a bit faster than T-Series for a day or two gaining 100k compared to T-Seires’s 50-80k a day, it’s crazy, I feel sorry for HolaSoyGerman who got passed by Justin Bieber who was unable to hold on to 2nd place, eventually getting passed in the end of January 2018 by T-Series who caught up to PewDiePie.
If HolaSoyGerman uploaded video in that moment, could have the same sub increase of T-Series

Great video! We can see the start of the large takeover companies at the end of the video, with T Series and Canale Kondzilla starting to reach 100k per day.
In fact I can see the quicker speed with most subscribers gained if u compare it to the previous years videos that Statsable made. How did nobody notice it in 2017. Just put 2016 and 2017 video side by side and u will realise how quick 2017 becomes
T-series gained the most subs in a year from 2017 to 2020. And then MrBeast came out with squid game
Yeah I didn’t really think about that, thats mad actually, MrBeast was the first to beat T-Series in subs gained per year since 2016. That is mad. T-series might win this year again tho

This was quite interesting to see! The changes were so interesting to look at, such as Smosh and Nigahiga falling (Which is sad), Taylor Swift LWYMMD......... REPUTATION and T-Series growing like a bullet train! I also enjoyed seeing the most subs gained in 2017............. Never thought Ed Sheeran was #1 for a while, same for Luis Fonsi and KondZilla........... Keep it up, Statsable! You're a badass :)

PewDiePie had his worst year on RUclips in 2017 (mainly to nothing really new happening) and also everyone knew who he was, and everyone was subscribed to him. also It was the downfall of content creators/VEVO creators, and after 6 years companies took over.
He did pretty well in 2018 though, even before the war. Big part of the reason he was slow in 2017 was started in Nov 2016, it was because of controversies of racism and Nazi sympathy, which was completely dumb as well.
I think he did well in 2018 because he actually got a small taste of the corporate surge, even though he was never a company
