Many reggae anthems, like this one, from the golden era, should be re-recorded by the original artists, using modern recording technology. That would make them much more attractive to the new generation. We need real reggae back.
Nah, I see what you're saying but I think these recordings are fine and to be found by those who either seek them or come across them. As much as we want to share experience with others we must never push anything. These records live on forever through us.
Understand what your saying, but as a young(ish) listener, collector and lover of reggae it's nice to hear clean modern relicks and renditions of classic riddims and songs but the original music in its rawness and is enjoyed and respected by many and I believe always will be... with the right education. Bless 💚
@@AthertonCollins The original recordings are invaluable, no doubt about it. But there must be something to draw youngsters towards them. Not something to replace them.
You are correct the original DEB 7" did have the melodica dub on the flip side - some Uhuru tunes were also released on the Gorgon label with different dubs, although I think I remember seeing a repress that was cut this way with just the straight dub.
Some of the Deb 7s came out twice around the same time, different labels and slightly different mixes, check Immanuel - Dennis brown, one on a yellow Deb and one on a green,

Just find out about this one . Black uhuru always one of the best forever. Heavy dub bass and drum. Sly and Robbie (Rip).
This was released with two different b sides - this one, and one with Pablo playing over the dub - both great.

@Da Royal General Well, I'm just saying it'd be nice if we had more projects like the ones of "Inna de yard"... Bring things forward again..
