- In this how to series I’ll be going over how I take a stock Craftsman ll lawn mower and turn it into a custom Off-road mower! There will be 5 or 6 parts to the Series so stay tuned! I am building this lawn mower for a customer of mine so it will have as much custom stuff as he can afford! Shoot me a msg on my instagram if your interested in having one built of have one you want me to upgrade!
Part 1 I’ll be going over what I did day one of stripping it down and cleaning it up!
I believe that the craftsman ll is a great start for anyone looking to build a mower yourself! This style of mower offers alot of quality strong parts that can be modified to be used on a off-road Mower build.

What model tractor would be the best platform to start on?
Craftsman
What wires do I disconnect to disable the saftey switches? I have a 2000's 17.5hp Troy Bilt aka Huskee or Craftsman
Is the rearaxel a Heavy duty axel or just a lawn mover axel?
how did you remove the center pice out of the axle where the bolt rides, and where did you get all of your parts?
Nice but its not a lt1000 they where called model 2s or IIs.
"I disabled all the safety switches and I suggest you do too." ha ha Forget "Don't try this at home."! ha ha ha But yes, definitely have to do that. Heck, I do that on mowers used as mowers. On rough ground it cuts the power just a bit and makes it backfire.
@@NubsWithGuns I was talking about when you hit a bump and the seat lifts up a bit, and activates the switch, which kills the engine just a for a bit until the seat goes back down and the engine resumes running. I disable the switch to avoid this problem.
I love this but fix the damn audio.
were is the best spot to go off roading in bc? if you know
Anywhere there’s mountains and crown land or private property
We live in the okanagan and it’s basically choose a direction and you found what you want! It’s awesome out here

The Tractor is a 1993, Its not a LT1000 & The trans is a Foote/spicer Not a Peerless 800..
Opps yea 80’s craftsman 2 and yep spicer! Good eye thanks for the input!
@@okoffroadmowers u should put 50/50 mix of ATF and gear oil in the transmission instead of grease
Mine is same body style, LT1000 with a 4spd peerless
Weed smoking goodies in
nice to see you doing something..but in your videos we see someone running over a small tree, ripping up terrain and riding with no helmets on FSR with no licences to do so. Very bad and wardens will now be out giving tickets. Clubs set up trails but you guys just go out ripping around anywhere. Beware you will be caught
We do a lot of riding on private property, not saying all our riding is done there but a lot of it is!
We have recently talked to our conservation officers about where we ride and how we do it !
So once the new footage starts rolling out we will be a lot better setup for crown land riding and fsr!
Not to mention our damage to the environment is substantially less than most off-road vehicles, that being said we will do better is our riding areas!
☝️ This Guy!!😂😂
