      It can be a bit fiddly. The key is to connect the servo with the servo horn off. Power it up so that the servo is centred.
      With the gearbox rod arm fully in connect it to the servo horn. Then fit the servo horn to the servo.
      Set up your radio switch to two position and minimal % travel. Then play with the travel. It takes time but worth getting it right.
      If you get stuck let us know and I will do a video. Tel.

    I absolutely love your videos of these big trucks, and the amount of detail you put into them. I commented one of the BC8 videos before, I am still thinking about committing to one of them, too. I first fell in love with the BC8, but I also like what you did to the MC6 and MC8, especially since they have so much space to put stuff onto, compared to the BC8 that does not even have a bed stock. On the other hand, a BC8 with it’s trailer looks fantastic, although I suppose a trailer will probably get stuck on any bigger root or rock anyway.
    In terms of climbing, and basically any off-road capability, is the BC8 the most capable?

    • @antrc
      @antrc  4 года назад

      Yeahman I remember you saying, but these are big commitments you can't and shouldn't rush into.
      As to which is better? Well, so far on the terrain you have watched, the BC does it with less effort. It is shorter and has a totally smooth underside like a tank. No big gap between axles, and it is wider. So it is the better truck design off road. But. Is it £500 better? Not yet. The MC8 has done everything it has albeit being driven harder. And the MC has a far better front approach angle. And a bigger cab. And a bigger more useful bed with many configuration options.
      So really, it is about what you want to do with each rig really. And how much £ you want to throw at it.
      They are both amazing rc trucks but in slightly different ways. A

      AnT R/C I had seen the repaint, yes - didn’t know about the motor. Will check that out! Very tempted by a scale 6x6, but the prices are kind of scary...!

    • @antrc

      @@rccrawlersmid-wales645 yes they are, but you do get a kit for the money so if you gather the pennies you won't feel hard done to. Tel's put his Exrun AXE set up in this MC6 now and very good it is too.

    If you have FB you should check out Burdons custom RC builds.
    Heaps of us over there have cross trucks and I'm sure they would love to see your rigs.

    That's funny the floor on mine was higher so why did they change it. Your are right with turning the steering up as on the Ural it did brake the dog end off on the axle. I do not know why they have not brought out a CVD kit as they have on the Gaz chassis. But you have to just love Cross :-)

    • @antrc
      @antrc  5 лет назад

      It is odd that there is so much space in the engine bay unused, yet they cram everything into the skinny leccy box. But their engineering and design is pretty spot on, and last time I criticised Cross I looked pretty stoopid lol. A

      AnT R/C hi. In the year that has passed is cvd available for this yet. Or have you found a suitable substitute? I take it the axles on the mc8 are the same and have the same problem? I’m currently looking to get one. I too will be crawling it hard not just running a trail.
      Also your 2.2 tyres are they cut and mounted on 1.9 rims or did you also change rims to 2.2? If so which ones as getting the right offset can be tricky.
      Many thanks for any help you can give 👍🏻
      Keep up the good videos 👍🏻

      Hi Daya, Thank you. The battery I use is a 3s 11.1v Lipo 3300 mah Turnigy from HobbyKing. It fits in the battery box fine. I was using a HobbyWing 1080 ESC which handles a 3s 11.1V battery fine. I am now running an Xerun brushless set up and I still run it on the same lipo. Hope that helps.

    • @antrc
      @antrc  4 года назад

      Ah yes sorry. I use a power hd 25kg metal geared servo but that is excessive. I would reccomend using a metal geared servo 15kg and above. The mc6 has not got the best steering lock and it takes a bit of effort to move the steering.
