The thing that makes Gregg's impression so funny is that it is actually accurate.

19:06 Sean says “He sounds like compare the meerkats” They are a series of commercials for insurance in the UK. All the characters are Meerkats which all have Russian accents. It is a bit weird but proven to be very popular. Chris Eubank was a professional boxer who has a distinctive voice and a lisp. There is a video where they get Greg to do it again only for Chris Eubank to suddenly walk on stage. As you can imagine the reaction is great.

Christopher Livingstone Eubank (born 8 August 1966) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 1998. He held the WBO middleweight and super-middleweight titles between 1990 and 1995. He reigned as world champion for over five years, was undefeated in his first ten years as a professional, and remained undefeated at middleweight. His world title contests against fellow Britons Nigel Benn and Michael Watson helped British boxing ride a peak of popularity in the 1990s, with Eubank's eccentric personality making him one of the most recognisable celebrities of the period.
His son with the same name is Christopher Livingstone Eubank Jr. (born 18 September 1989) he is a British professional boxer. He has held multiple championships in two weight classes, including the WBA interim middleweight title twice between 2015 and 2021; the IBO super-middleweight title twice between 2017 and 2019; and the British middleweight title in 2016.

Another Greg Davies awesome bit is him on The Graham Norton Show, with Jodie Foster, Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling.
Gosling ends up in some distress. 😂 Give it a look.
    Greg Davies' quote sources:
    1. "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times". - the opening line from Charles Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities" novel.
    2. "Shall I compare Thee to a Summer's day?" - Sonnet 18 by Shakespeare.
    3. De Niro's mirror monologue from "Taxi Driver"
    4. Clint Eastwood from "Dirty Harry" (when Greg goes off at Sean)
    5. Russell Crowe's reveal to the Emperor in "Gladiator" (that Greg fails utterly), and
    6. His last retort to Jimmy is "If thou wert my fool, I'd have thee whipped for being old before thy time", which is a slight paraphrasing from Shakespeare's "King Lear".

19:25 Compare the meerkats … it’s an advert for an insurance comparison website called, “Compare the market”, featuring stuffed toy meerkats from Romania. Hence they speak English with a weird accent, as you would if you were a stuffed toy. Their famous catchphrase follows on from an explanation of some new feature of the website, “Simples!”. The meerkats have flown all over the world to demonstrate aspects of insurance and now there are baby meerkats, too. So, if you here a Brit say, “Simples!”, this is what it’s from … and they’re silly as they’re promoting an insurance company advert … even Boris has used this in a speech about covid during the pandemic.

*Alan Carr: Chatty Man* was the 2nd best talk show. His other shows *Friday Night Project/Sunday Night Project* and *Alan Carr's Celebrity Ding Dong* were also quality.
*So Graham Norton* and *V Graham Norton* were average talk shows.
*The Graham Norton Show* was also average, which is why it was on *BBC Two.*
*Jonathan Ross* and *Russell Brand* made some phone calls to comedic actor *Andrew Sachs* about Russell sleeping with his granddaughter for a laugh, but Sachs didn't find it funny like they expected.
*The Graham Norton Show* was then moved to *BBC One* in October 2009, and *Jonathan Ross* announced he would be leaving the *BBC* in July 2010, no doubt because he thought the *BBC* weren't as supportive as he wanted them to be following the Sachs controversy, and most likely thought that them moving *The Graham Norton Show* to *BBC One* too was a tactic to push him out.
So he moved to *ITV* and *Graham Norton* took *Jonathan Ross'* slot on *BBC One.*
Now, partly because most Americans and younger Brits online are ignorant, and partly because older Brits have short memories, *ITV* shows are largely ignored online, even though *ITV* was the most popular UK network until the early 2000s, is the 2nd most popular UK network today, and has the 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th most popular channels in the UK.
If *Jonathan Ross* was still at the *BBC* he would still have the best show, as he is clearly head and shoulders above *Graham Norton* as an interviewer.

You have to watch the follow-up to the Chris Eubank impression. They invite Greg back on a later episode and ask him to do the impression again, then bring Chris Eubank on as a guest and Greg absolutely shits himself and almost runs out the studio. Chris has an iconic voice, a very soft and precise voice, considering he was a boxer. But he took it really well, he thought it was lovely that his voice was making people happy. He was a good sport about it.
Eubank was a great boxer, he was unbeaten within his weight class his whole career and retired with a record of like 45-2 or something. It'd be like publicly doing a ridiculous impression of Conor MacGregor or Floyd Mayweather and then he comes into the room.

a brilliant show what is written by and stars Jonny vegas called "Ideal" Jonny plays as a drug dealer who sells weed, and all you ever see is his flat and the stairway to the flat, the characters that go to his flat are so funny like Psycho Paul and Cartoon Head, King Boomer you gotta give it a watch, there is about 7 series of it too, British culture comedy at its very best

Jonathan Ross started out in the mid 1980s on British TV with a show called 'The Last Resort' and it stood out I think from the usual fare of chat shows at the time which were very formal, and it had a more anarchic mix - it borrowed/stole heavily I think also from David Lettermans show in the US. Since then he's been a constant pretty much - I think he is o.k - he and Russell Brand got into some bother a few years back for insensitive remarks about a comic actor Andrew Sachs, much ado about nothing it was really. Im more for him than against him I guess.

Jonathan Ross is pretty beloved in the UK, his chat show was the number #1 prime time chat show before Graham Norton, from around 1995 to 2010 he was the top dog in UK chat shows with the best guests and music acts. Around 2008 Graham Norton, who had been around for a while, started to get bigger guests and he also got syndicated in the US (the first UK chat show host to do so) and so he exploded in popularity and replaced Jonathan.

there's an interview with Chris Eubank that was put out only yesterday. The man has always been eccentric and weird but at this stage he's lost his mind. His son Seb Eubank was 29 years old, just became a father and was living in dubai, suddenly died of a heart attack whilst chilling on the beach.
