    just a small tip - if you are having problems releasing those two cables from the holes, you can simply cut it and use the other pair of holes for the connection. if you use a stranded cable, you should probably tin the ends with some solder or use some appropriate ending on it.

    Need to see how to take down the lampshade (e.g. Melodi) to clean it. Really impossible without breaking it.

    When you put the two wires back during reassembly, does it matter which hole they go in?

    Anyone know where to get just that part (the clear cone shaped cord grip and the screw in socket with screw on ring)?

    Tried this, but the wire connectors break when you insert the flat head screw driver...

      Same happend to me. Had to cut the wire and use a soldering iron to connect new wire.

      there are two small pads or pins inside "the middle hole", you have to move those pins (or maybe only the one that is next to the wire) aside. i used a strong paperclip and while applying the pressure, you have to gently try to set the cable free.

      Haha not to worry, I reassembled it afterwards! I needed to thread the wire though a pipe for a lamp I was building.
