    Hi Dzan, thanks for video. I am having an issue getting the corrugated part of the panel to repeat. I get two section of corrugated panel with a big stretch of flat space that grows with the size of the wall.

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  4 года назад +1

      That happens sometimes. It is due to the amount of bends. Make a profile that has less bends for the panel or make a bend as a mullion profile and repeat the mullion instead of the panels.

    • @davinhartley6099
      @davinhartley6099 4 года назад

      Thanks Dzan, I'm have issues with door and window openings not aligning properly. Is there another way to create a corrugated metal panel using a sweep method but have the sweep run vertically and then repeat horizontally?

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  4 года назад +1

      @@davinhartley6099 try using a beam system where the reference plane is set to vertical. You can also try to create a custom in-place family and array it.

    • @DzanTa

      You can use it as a sloped glazing type where the panels are using the corrugated profiles

  • @ShayanGivehchian
    @ShayanGivehchian 6 лет назад +1

    can you use this on a vertically curved wall by making it as a mass ?

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  6 лет назад +1

      In this case no. You will have to use an adaptive curtain panel family on a divided surface such as rhomboid. Use the conceptual massing environment.

  • @adrilemmen
    @adrilemmen 4 года назад +1

    Thanks for the video! I need to edit the profile of the curtain wall to a round shape. When I edit it, the panels that are being affected by the profile, Revit is automatically changing them to Glazed panels and it is not letting me use the corrugated panels. Any thoughts on how can I resolve this problem?

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  4 года назад

      not sure what you mean by round shape....custom profiles for curtain panels need to be simple with not too many complex curves...otherwise, it defaults back to glazed panel. Hope this helps

    • @adrilemmen
      @adrilemmen 4 года назад

      @@DzanTa Thank you for your prompt reply. It is also happening when I put a wall opening. I have my curtain wall set it up with my vertical grid spacing at a 3' fixed distance and my horizontal grid at 20', that is the actual panel size given by the manufacturer. When I make a wall opening for my 7' high door there is reaming 2' panel. This 2' panel is the one that Revit is changing to the glazed panel instead of the corrugated panel.

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  4 года назад +1

      @@adrilemmen you may have to delete the panel and recreate it custom. Hard to diagnose.

Then load this into the Project. Use the Properties to swap out the mullion profile with your custom one. Then make sure the repeating distance is only the length of 1 s curve distance. The wall I created works well up to 5 feet wide. longer than that it stretches normal wall then it repeats the pattern after 10 feet. So what I have is 5 feet wide of the corrugated wall then about 10 feet flat, then 5 feet corrugated again. There is NO loop ? Her is how it looks : i67.tinypic.com/1znqsfb.jpg

      Check your sketch to ensure the profile is aligned, dimensioned and locked properly. What is the realistic width size of the manufactured panel? Use the vertical spacing property to control this width. Theoretically we should be able to make a single giant panel using your custom profile swap such as in the Curtain Wall 1 type. Send me your profile sketch so I can play with it. Dzanta@gmail.com

    Nope. Cant create sweep. Error cannot be ignored. Followed this video to the letter at least 10 times in Revit 2021.

    When you guys make these videos it would be helpful to load it and use it in a model as a demo and show how it interfaces with a sloped roof above and window openings. The problem with using curtain walls as the motif is that this family wont attach to the underside of an angled roof and it also doesn't like clipping for windows..doors yes but not windows.

      Curtain walls can attach to the top of a roof. You might have to edit profile to make it work. Panels can be swapped for panel doors. Or, you can swap a panel for a wall and insert a door in that wall. I have another video that shows the application of it...just dig into my channel. You'll find it.
