Yeah, but he never relied on his footstool combos. They were cool and all, but they were only ever really explored and used in tournaments 3 years after the game's launch. Already people are discovering zero to deaths with this character using buffers and attack cancelling, I have no doubt that even more crazy stuff will be discovered.

He was actually buffed the most, and all the things that were "nerfed" about him have different/better uses or have another move to compensate. Like raptor boost is significantly safer, half the killing tool, an amazing combo starter and continuer, and was replaced with Falcon Kick for killing. The character was literally buffed in every way, except for his up air having more end lag (1 frame), which doesn't even matter because all of his other moves have faster start ups. Even his run and dash speed were buffed and he doesn't even need to be faster.
