I’m in that process now, while living together still, and it’s hard man. Really damn hard. I don’t know when/how to throw in the towel even though I know it’s what’s best for me and I know it’s the inevitable outcome. She’s not who I thought she was, and I know she’s not good for me, and changing me for the worst, and I still struggle to let go.

Never beg. People that take me for granted my silence always gives them a sign on how much I've abandoned them and moved on. Only good people that love and respect me for me are allowed to hear from me. Otherwise my silence would definitely feel like a bullet to them. This is amazingly well said.
When they disrespected me using another person as a middlemen. I remained silent. Months passed. I changed shifts. I took an opportunity to grow one step at a time. The person in question went away thinking I would stay in the same place.
I grew in my career using the hurt as a medium to catapult into greater heights.
That’s how you transmute the energy to work in your favor💯…that’s rare and awesome to see 🙌🏻

When you gift them with silence, you allow them to sit with their guilt. This statement speaks volumes. It took me awhile (3 months) when my pain was fresh and raw, but I gathered myself, resurrected my self-respect, and gifted him with silence. My silence is his “unfinished symphony”. I've done this 18 years ago to someone. I took back my power and established my boundaries. I've watched him over the years. He was just another womanizer out in the big world. He filled his time with needless things and hobbies, because he had nothing else. He never married and never had children.
We spoke last year for a little while. I could tell that the way I had left had cut him pretty deep. Now he's got some younger woman - he's 54 now - that he's trying to build something with, but the reality of it is she's just there to make him look good and also, to recognize when he's experiencing a stroke or heart attack. He's getting too old to be playing the field now.
I have to say that my silence is my best form of revenge for all the disrespect and disgusting behavior I have witnessed over the years. Hope everyone learns how to be silent and walk away. ♥
Why I am silent is because I no longer want to pretend that I am not hurt. I don't like to 'act' loving. I am good. I know it. Somehow, I have gotten into rigmarole of relationships I wish I wasn't in. So there. To take care of myself, I have stopped pleasing people. I love laughter & joy. But that seem to far fetched at present.
