  • A Homeless Man Was Humming "Iron Man" While Staring at a Guitar - Ozzy Osbourne Heard Everything
December 31st, 2018, Los Angeles. A homeless young man staring at the Guitar Center window on Sunset Boulevard was unknowingly humming "Iron Man." He had no idea who the old man standing behind him was - until his life changed forever. This heartwarming story tells of legendary rock icon Ozzy Osbourne extending a hand to a stranger on New Year's Eve. How did the paths of The Prince of Darkness and Marcus - a young man living on the streets for three years, his musical dreams on the verge of fading - come to cross? Sometimes all it takes is the right person noticing you at the right time. A touching narrative reminding us that hope can be found even in the darkness.

I was fortunate enough to have worked with Ozzy. The one thing that I will never forget, was how kind he was to others. If this really happened, it wouldn't surprise me in any way. He was an amazing human being and is missed by millions.

I will continuing with the rest of my life...that this story actually did indeed happen. I've been involved in the business of doin events, w/sound - audio engineering , moving to lights & stage deco, working the ticket booth, and even bouncing the front door at shows, my whole entire life.....I've seen sone pretty beefy rad celebrity moments happen, & all of those moments that I get to vouch really happen....every single one of those moments...were completely fucking random .....I'm talking down to the T. Every single time it happened ...it was so fucking random , at the right spot, doin the right fucking task, right at that keen presice most sweet action moment... .& It happened , it was experienced, it went on & passed by ..while the entire experience felt so normal , so simple, & gilded by so smoothy...., and I can see, that kind of encounter, going out like this experience....tho...Idk if the prince of darkness really walked from his mansion down to sunset Blvd...that I feel would be a massive trek & Ozzy probably wouldn't have put him self at risk....idk if there are actual sidewalks Al the way to sunset Blvd from the Osbourne's spot. But I could be wrong. I've actually never got to go be at the Osbourne house.. like, Ever.. shit., I've only barely seen the Hollywood sign IRL barely once .
But ...man could you imagine that feeling Marcus had ..that night , chilling with the prince of darkness, himself, jammin out, doing riffs after riffs....WITH THE Lord maximus OZZY FUCKING OSBOURNE???!!!!
      Phew ..
Now I need to go listen to crazy train...
Sun well, everyone ..Jesus hates you all...

I also looked up to him and hoped that one day I would be lucky like he was, but that never happened. I still have a love for music and will always keep playing my drums. R.I.P. Ozzy 🤘🤘

Ozzy thank you for being so kind and understanding. You were friends with my cousin Jerry. You guys met at a AA meeting. You and Sharon had him over for BBQ’s many times. And Sharon always asked my cousin if she could have his dog who was named Ozzy. The dog died six weeks after my cousin did just before he turned 53 years old from a massive heart attack. Dear sweet Ozzy please give my cousin a hug for me. Thank you.

The second A in AA is anonymous. You just outed two people. Your cousin outed Ozzy. He really shouldn't have told you how they met, unless Ozzy gave him direct consent to let you know how they met. You really shouldn't have mentioned either or them being involved with AA, unless you had both of their direct consent.

@CrawlerSteve42 I’m someone in AA , though I understand where you’re coming from. She was sharing a cherished memory. It’s not our place to tell everyone the Twelve traditions of AA! Tolerance & Acceptance is also one of our codes.
      Nothing from you
      She wasn’t mentioning you
Not AA member as whole either
      When in doubt be kind
      Costs you nothing
I do know the program also

when I was 21 years old I got to see Ozzy and Randy play an outdoor venue in 1981 outside at the UofM river flats in Mpls.
I remember Ozzy standing on the front of the stage with his hands on the top of the mic stand holding the microphone, as he turned around and watched Randy play lead. Ozzy looked so happy.

"you can't change the past but you can write the future" and so it goes. One story ends at a climactic closure. The sun rises the same way as a voyeur rises with it instead of under it. I imagine that first mornings breath was nothing short of gratitude itself being again born. How surreal it must have been to be seen from the heavens as the soul that rose brighter than the sun that day. I hope that moment was slow, filled with reverence and peace enough to hold time from ticking allowing the morning sun to be felt. Encapsulating the joy yet to burst while the memory was made. Days of that caliber aren't common aren't found by all and aren't always savoured. The work of the devine I've seen is often as a powerful engine on the Autobahn. Emotions racing as inexperienced drivers too careless to entertain lessons that hold that power in their hands to be able to keep themselves on the road. It's the mentor that yeilds the novice to steer into the speed and not be torn from path of unseen beautiful byways ahead. 😊

Randy was a great guitar player but he could never touch Tony Iommi. Being able to play thought out extended runs that lead into another one and so on is good for some people. Tony just played what he felt at the time in his heart. I saw Ozzy and Randy on the DIARY TOUR. He was good, but most of his songs are very boring, not having the feeling I need in guitar playing. I did like his sound and mastery of his instrument. He will be missed but when Tony goes…. The WORLD WILL STOP.

it is a good move, take a man many loves and prompt LLM to create sentimental stories. 224K views, well done!

Wow. The meaning it represented to both of them was random and profound and meant to be, but what moved me, really, was that he invited Marcus to his house for dinner and to stay the night on New Year's Eve. It's like Ozzy did not just give of his money but he gave of himself. And I think he was more Christian than he ever let on.

Great story, Ozzy will be missed. I know he is with God now. I wish I could have met him. I can imagine him being very nice. I have a friend living in England not far from Birmingham. Wish I could have gone there at some point. Just a great story.
