@@yacobpulla4916 I am pursuing bs-ms degree in physics and I have to say that it is definitely worth it. The faculty, quality of education is great. They provide best environment for research. Life at iisc is a little bit hectic but if you are passionated for your work then you'll find that iisc is best place for research.
My wish that i will research about medicine and making vaccine....after that i want to join in cancer research...so i can't understand should i go biotechnology or biological science in iiser?
Studies at IISER are more oriented towards research as so mention about cancer... Our some of the professors are doing the same! You will get a better exposure here than any biotechnology course. So according to me you should go for IISER.
lemme tell u ..according to rule of GoI, after MSc if u are qualified for assistant professor by (CSIR/UGC- net/JRF /DBT many more ) in any govt. colleges/universities , then u will be given 57,700 (basic) + HRA(according to tier 1,2,3 cities)+medical + etc. , even after phd it's same okay. But in IITs, NITs the payscale of assistant professor is more ..ur starting will be 70k(basic) pay level 10 as of 7th CPC , then level 11,12 hai 80k ho jayega 4-5 saalon mein if u do good research going there (but for these generally IITs, NITs, IIITs want atleast postdoc of 1-2 years whereas IISERs, NISER want 3 year experience after PhD for faculty position. For research associate /scientist position in CSIR labs, IITs, IISERs after PhD now u will be getting starting with 58000 then RA-2,3 .. 61k,68k . After becoming associate professor ur salary will be near to 1-1.5 lakh / month and likewise all other benefits. If u can be in scientist position in DRDO, CSIR 4PIlab, AcSir labs, CDRI, CDMR, ISRO, HAL, BARC etc. then ur staring salary could be of 1 lakh. But srsly saying agar "mota" paisa chahiye then don't come to academia ..u will be getting bored . And agar tumhe foreign mein jana hai PhD karneke liye toh mota paisa toh mil jayega as Research assistantship/TAship/ fellowship , but uske liyebhi tumhara resume accha hona chahiye 2-3 research internships, advanced courses, workshop, 1 publication / sumitted already in journal Or, 1-2 paper presentation in conference + high CGPA + good score in IELTS/TOEFL ( though in many universities they don't want but de dena chaiye ) yehsab itna kuch chahiye acche university se PhD karneka liye with "mota" paisa.. hope this helps !! But before all this all u need only and only your srs level of curiosity in any of the basic sciences ( PCMB); otherwise u will lose interest from very beginning.
5 yrs for BS-MS then for 5 yrs phd uske baad kya scientist ki degree hogi And. Agr hogi to us degree ka krenge kya matlb Kya us degree se khi pe kuch ho jayega economically😊
Economically speaking, engineers can earn more than a scientist because they are in demand currently in india. The degree of phd can get you either into well known organizations like isro drdo or any where in abroad if you have the required skills and merit, or you can get a job as a professor in big Institutes like iit nits etc. Where it is sure that you will earn a basic salary of 1-2 lac per month and provided you can do your own independent Research and write papers on something which can revolutionize our science. Basically Research students are not money oriented., they are passionate and knowledge driven. Being a Researcher can't assure you that you can become rich or something, instead you can earn a respected job, the word 'Dr' in front of your name is enough to convince anyone, and a decent living. Overall it will be hectic but once you become want you really want to be, you will never regret it.

Didi...BS in EECS krne k baad toh Mtech de paenge na?
Ms bs mean msc and bsc is it right
Actually not
Can an 17 year old one who is actually not aware of the subject completely think/imagine of research?...
Why not... Passion is required to learn it that's it
Coaching kha se kare plzzzz bta do
What about Becholer in engeneering??
didi which iiser is the best for biology?
Pune
* IISER Alumni have been summoned *
I wanted to be a teacher.. Not a scientist.. Lot of people suggested me IISER, so.. What to do now?
Should I try or not?
You can! If u r interested in in-depth study of the subject!
@@PearlsofJagruti what is the diff btw iiser and other collages in getting a degree?
phd aur post doc k baad kitna mota pesa milega????
lemme tell u ..according to rule of GoI, after MSc if u are qualified for assistant professor by (CSIR/UGC- net/JRF /DBT many more ) in any govt. colleges/universities , then u will be given 57,700 (basic) + HRA(according to tier 1,2,3 cities)+medical + etc. , even after phd it's same okay.

Didi plz lab tours........
5 yrs for BS-MS then for 5 yrs phd uske baad kya scientist ki degree hogi
And.
Agr hogi to us degree ka krenge kya matlb
Kya us degree se khi pe kuch ho jayega economically😊

@@Pathaniavanshika1 Very true...
But I'm not demotivating anyone( infact I don't have any peer pressure🙅♀️, its a very common thing that I saw among the students so I told that) just telling them the reality so that they should not come here with the blur image of research education in their minds!
