movie references in the music video: - nayeon: princess diaries - jeongyeon: ghost - momo: la la land - sana: pulp fiction - jihyo: love letter (a japanese movie) - mina: la boum (a french movie) - dahyun: léon the professional (another french movie) - chaeyoung: same as dahyun + the marylin monroe ref with the white dress - tzuyu: romeo+juliet
2:53 About that "Is sana gay?" it's because when you reacted "Heart Shaker" the chorus says "Isanghage" and a lot of people make fun of it because the pronunciation is similar to "is sana gay"
My first Twice comeback! This video was so far beyond everything else that was out at the time, glad you were able to get around to it. Have a dope vacation and thanks for the awesome reactions!
I really love twice old song we grow up together I get to the fandom in 2016 when cheer up comes out since this time i Stan them they are my everything! NO TWICE,NO LIFE
I love the Dahyun reveal as Leon the Professional lol You know she had a hella good time Re: Numbers: In the new JYP dance rooms, 3 floorboards is 1 "spot" or number - it was probably the same in the old ones too. So you know when you're transitioning from this move to the next that you're going from 5 to 3 to 1. When you monitor the practice, you can look at the floorboards and go "ah shit I went from 5 to 4 to 2, not far enough to the right, that's why we were all bunched up. I'll work on that." Helps keep things evenly spaced and predictable so that you can reproduce the spacing and distances even when you don't have floorboards to measure, and it makes changing the choreo on the fly easier as well. "You stand on 2 instead of 3 this time" and people know what you mean and can see it in their heads.
The dance practice was the first Twice video I watched. What a nice memory and I remember falling in love with Chaeyoung at that exact moment. Sorry for my english.
there are definitely some performance clips out there. there's one with the movie costumes. one with the princess dresses. one that is acoustic and slowed down that gets emotional ...
The numbers part refers to several things I think. Of course there's counting the beat like you said like 5, 6, 7 & 8 to know when and how fast to do a certain move so it matches the music. But the numbers also mean a certain spot in the formation. Twice's choreo's have A LOOOOOT of formation changes and having nine members also makes it more difficult so there's a lot of numbers to memorize to know how the formation changes. Then I think there's also numbers for the amount of space to keep in between each other also to kinda pinpoint where they're supposed to be in the formation. Somewhere they explain that they use the floorboards to do this because they're all the same width so it helps them with positioning.
About the is sana gay, Heart Shaker's chours starts with 이상하게 (isanghage) and it sounds like "is sana gay" so it became one of the best misheard lyrics in kpop.
I love Dayhun in this video! She's hilarious!!! And they don't actually sing "Is Sana gay" in Heartbreaker, but we English speakers mishear Korean lyrics CONSTANTLY, lol.
Pat just read Nayeon's lines at the start of the M/V and it tells you everything you need to know about the M/V they are acting out movies. I'm sure lots of people view this as a cutesy song (bet you were one of them). I view it as nine young ladies having fun making fun, it's why I fell in love with them they don't take the song or themselves seriously when doing these must have k-pop songs (no disrespect I love this song).it's the B-sides where they are getting serious. Some more back story Pat did you realize that Twice was not originally considered to be good at dancing. People made the mistake of thinking what they were doing was easy but it's there precision that makes them great (you said it yourself when they jump you hear only one thud). I will have to disagree with you however on one thing they make it look easy because they do it over and over till it's perfect (love and respect).

I knew one of our fellow ONCES would break it down for Pat 👍
"What is love?" is the definitely one of the goats of M/Vs
One of the coolest and most creative MV's imo, and the song is so good, TWICE never disappoints

Because of this song, I fell in love with Twice, and there's still nothing like it.

I was laughing cause I was thinking you were totally overthinking the mv and in my head I'm just thinking Princess Diaries..
Now Jihyo's zone peak live ver is out and so good
You also need to react to some of their collaborations like "I'll show you" by KDA, i forgot Sana's one but she had collaboration before.

The numbers refer to spots on the stage
i hope you noticed the question mark position in the end of dance practice😂
