    I have had this Benro (only carbon) tripod about a week. I am using a Nikon P1000 on it right now. I am having trouble getting it steady on this tripod when I extend the long zoom. An example is last night I was shooting the full moon & if I let go of the camera I lost the moon because it pulled down . I need a lightweight, sturdy, compact tripod due to health& shooting wildlife do you have any suggestions on what I am doing wrong or any recommendations on another compact,lightweight, sturdy tripod. Thank you so much for your time.I really enjoyed your video.

      It sounds like you're having more of an issue with the head itself. I had the same problem, that head it comes with is pretty weak, so I switched it out and bought a better one that is a bit stronger. Also, I think the downside to that P1000 is that when it's extended all the way, it's really front heavy. Usually when you have a regular dslr with a longer lens, they have a tripod mount on the lens that shifts the weight back to keep it more center balanced, but you can't do that with yours, so if you lie the Benro Slim legs (which by themselves can handle the weight of your camera if not in too windy conditions) then I'd definitely look into getting a stronger head for it. If that doesn't work then you'd probably need to get a whole new, stronger setup of both the legs and head.

    Nice review. Considering this Benro tripod led me to your video. How did you color grade this one? Particular LUT?

      Thanks! Yeah I have some luts and some basic color grading for all my videos.

      I don't have anything that I'm ready to put out there yet, but I would definitely recommend film riot's luts. I do use them too and like them a lot.

    Nice video. Can the ball head that comes with this tripod allow shooting in vertical position without L bracket?
    Thanks.

    • @BrentHall
      @BrentHall 5 лет назад

      Thanks! It can, but it's not very sturdy. I actually switched it out for a larger head and it's been a lot better.

      @@BrentHall Thanks for the quick reply. Would you mind telling which head you put on it? Thanks.

      I put the Benro IN2 on it. It's a middle of the road head, not to small, not to large. It holds my 5D4 alright, but still struggles with my 1DX2.

    What filter do you use and what for?

    • @BrentHall
      @BrentHall 5 лет назад +2

      Depends on what I'm doing. If I'm doing timelapses then I'll probably be using my square filters. If I'm doing a regular long exposure or some video then I'll use my round nd filters. I have a few videos about filters, and I have all the ones I use in the video descriptions.

      lol. To be fair, I had no idea who he was when I started doing that. I just started calling it that because I have a tenancy to ramble in my videos and my wife suggested it to help me keep them shorter...which doesn't always work. 😁😜

    Nice review! I'm really thinking about getting one of these tomorrow and found your video. Benro is good as usual it seems :) I too have several Benro tripods and they're all super good. I have no idea why people like about the hype for example with manfrotto, I tried a couple and those were just flimsy I thought. So I went for my trusty benro :)
