It got that pattern layout from the early parts of this decade but it isn't too new now that it's mostly distorted drum bass playing at a fast pace these days.

i noticed this with kreepin out da kut too, the sample at the goes way higher pitched on the 3rd bar than the original sample... sample is al green - love is like the morning sun. im assuming these happened because of tape distortion or paul is a god at editing samples while keeping them in key, hard thing to do especially in the 90s.
