More and more R211AS are definitely coming for the A C lines for CBTCS. However The R211S is going to Staten island Rail way also. I'm just letting you know that right now. Keep in mind.
Humm............ Are we going back in time that once about a time the (C) Train did serve the Rockaway Beach 116th Street? Since they did exercise the additional orders for the R211 I wonder is there potential expanded (C) Train converted from 8 to 10 cars and/or extend to/from Lefferts Blvd. at Ozone Park to replace the (A) Train or even better restore the (K) Train to/from Lefferts Blvd in Ozone Park to replace the (A) Train. Plus bring back the (H) Shuttle Rockaways from Rockaway Beach 116th Street to Broad Channel to replace the (S) Shuttle.

broadway is getting the leftover 68s from other lines once the 211s fully retire the 46s, they're not gonna be doing cbtc on broadway anytime soon so no reason for the 211s on that line, bummer because it's my homeline also :/
@@BenTheMinerFrom what I understand that the B D trains is getting the R160/AS from the E F R lines very soon. The R211/As is going on the E F R lines. That's is not gonna happen for a while. Keep in mind also they will definitely come out with the R268/As real soon to replace all the R68S R68AS. We already know the iRT lines is definitely getting the brand new R262/As to replace all the R62AS R62S on the 1 3 6 S lines for CBTCS.
@@leecornwell5632 The MTA would rather have R160 uniformity in Jamaica Yard. Therefore, the R211 option order cars will go to Coney Island Yard for the B and Concourse Yard for the D. The R46's in Coney Island Yard will be replaced by Concourse Yard’s R68's.
R211A: March 2023 R211T: September-December 2023 R211S: January-May 2024 These should be the dates when the 3 types enter revenue service (R211A is in service)

Current one seems fine, so I don't see any reason to change it. Besides, it's iconic.
There's no reason to change the chime.
I prefer the door chime used on the R142/A and R179 vs the R143, R160, and R188. But an entirely different door chime would be nice as well!

Even though this is a vid, the R211 train interior definitely seems more quiet than the R-179's and the classic R-32's.

The open gangway ones are the R211T and the one you see in the video is a R211A
