  • This was shot on Bayou Vermilion in Lafayette, Louisiana during the test run of our 18' Sea Skiff. Before we returning her to the water, we had replaced all of the wood below the water line, the fuel tank and lines, and the wiring. The motor is a bored out GM 3.0 liter inline 4. Success!

    This channel is currently run by one of the guys who made the boat’s son, so the current content I make is more music and composing based than boat content.

    Chris Crafts, and the Century run-abouts, were some of the most beautiful wooden (mahogany) boats of all time. Really nice.

    pretty fast running it thru a shallow bayou !!! ... and that's pretty BRAVE !!! ... in the James River here in Richmond , you might hit a rock outcropping !!!

      On that stretch there’s only mud on the bottom, but to your point, in other areas, yes, it’s the Cypress stumps you have to worry about!

    Around 30 mph? Nice. We had a 47 Chris Craft years ago.
