Caleeh and Rachel's Wedding

We first met on a dating app on February 8, 2020. We hit it off right away - we had a lot of common interests, from gaming to tech to music, and had our first date the following Monday, February 10th. Caleeh brought over chocolates and a dozen roses because he wanted to make a good first impression - and it worked! Valentine's Day was that Friday, so we went out again for a nice dinner at The Blue Moose.
Of course 2020 turned out to be a crazy year! Only about a month into our relationship, Rachel's best friend Rebecca came to visit, so Caleeh was able to meet all of Rachel's closest friends - and the week after Rebecca flew home, covid quarantine hit. Rachel and Caleeh were able to make it work, travelling back and forth between Lawrence and Kansas City for several months, despite quarantine and Rachel's furlough.
Caleeh met Rachel's kids, Annabel and Xander, on July 11, 2020. They got along great! Xander was very interested in Caleeh's "race car", a 1991 "fox body" Ford Mustang. Annabel was very interested in her Mama's boyfriend, and decided that he would be a good fit for our family.
In July 2021, Rachel bought a three bedroom house in Lawrence - big enough for us to adopt our first cat, Panda. Caleeh moved in with Rachel, Annabel, and Xander on November 13, 2021.
On Caleeh's birthday, June 23, 2022, when Rachel got home from work, Caleeh said he'd found something online that he wanted to show her. He pulled out a pretty hardback cover of Rachel's favorite book, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. When Rachel went to open it, the pages were hollowed out and there was a ring box inside. Caleeh got down on one knee and proposed, and of course Rachel said yes!
We are so excited to join our families together and start something new, and are looking forward to celebrating with everyone we love on May 25, 2024!
