Mephone4 is my favorite character but I have to admit the comparison to Greg Heffley is on point I think learning empathy and respect for people is a big part of his character arc. Cobs never gave him that, so it makes sense he treats people how his “dad” treated him. But I don’t think he’s a bad person deep down, since he does learn from his mistakes. Returning to season 2 is proof of that, I think.

I think i know why balloon couldnt win, its because (as you said) the entire season was focused on balloon and nickle so much that it seemed like none of them would be eliminated and they would be part of the final 3, a lot of people were probably mad that they had such plot armour to the point where they had to find a way to get one of them out. Balloon was a fan favourite so they kept him but they probably thought it would be unfair if he won the entire season, so i feel like with that reasoning it is a bit logical for cabby to win, cuz of balloons insane plot armour wouldnt be fair and silver spoon is, well. Hes silver spoon, but anyways thats my theory of why balloon just couldnt win
