I remember Hong 10 losing to Lilou in 2005. I felt that loss.
2006, came back like a beast.
2013 he did it again.
2016 he had an amazing run, but I felt Issei eeked him out.
Nearing 40, he manages to do it again.

i think his last prime is around 2016-2018, after that he slowly got nerf, but in 2023 he still get to world final is amazing, i dont think he really deserve this one because there's so many new and fresh bboys.
But still, he is amazing, and if he can still breaking in 5 years ahead in world class competition, that would be very surprising for me.

Probably the two most innovative and creative Bboys from old gen vs new gen. Ill say it now, if Hong10 didnt participate Phil deffinately wins this year. Hong10 is one of the only Bboys who is very hard to beat solo, his stamina and creativity is insane. Props to Phil as well for having the same energy and almost the same handful of signatures. Saw their suprise nonstop 1v1 battle session they had a while back and glad to see they are able to battle again but on a big stage against one another.
Also, if they had faced off round 1 instead of finals. It would still be the main event and the outcome "could" be different.

Well deserved, I'd say he carried a lot of weight as far as innovation. He actually started as a powerhead and did a lot of stacked tricks back in the late 90s and really early 2000s. If you ever come across some of his stacked freezes back in the late 90s/early 2000s, I would say 90% of bboys would still have a hard time doing them LOL, and that's 20-25 years ago lol. And I'd say he was on spot more with this freezes back in those days. But much respect for the fella.

Emotional night that HONG 10 has achieved a 3 time win. Incredible journey while recovering from a serious injury that might have ended his career but his determination kept his dream alive. Massive respect for not giving up 🙌👏
whoever is watching this after the 2024 Paris Olympics, please tell me why Hong 10 couldn't step up to at least semi-finals. His power moves are beyond masterpiece.
Man honestly he was solid but the deciding match vs I think it was Lee, he had a minor crash with his signature. Otherwise, I really felt like he would have made it to the end.
it was bogus. the judges were clearly still brain mushed from watching kangaroo/fish lady earlier...
IDK. He had way more power moves vs Phill who had smoother transitions and a better outfit. In my eyes 🕵🏻♀️, he won this round.
Bigger than who won or lost was how both these guys were visibly having the time of their lives up there. They are obviously great friends. Hoping for them to meet up again in many finals to come.

Best edition I've ever seen. The story of Hong is so inspiring and I was supporting him the whole competition even if I didn't believe he could win. So I get the biggest surprise seeing him on the end trying to put the belt so clumsy way and saying that his trainings are just SIMPLE xD

Hong 10s side of bracket was easier to battle his way up no doubt, but at 40 years old he still had to battle hard to beat everyone he was put against. I think phill took the final, but it was so close that it could have gone either way (just like 2016 where hong lost). So beautiful to see the goat come back and claim his 3rd belt. Bboys 35+ will forever know that they can still (physically) perform on a high level. No doubht this will set the tone for so many breakers to come. What a way to impact the culture. All love hong 10. So deserving 🧡

A lot of people have been saying negative things about Breaking included in the Paris Olympics and I have been defending its entry. I know some of these people who worked for two years, and their whole lives, for this opportunity.
