St Topez???? That is not the correct name. Also, your criticism of the "brown grass" and maintenance on the pitch and putt s unfounded. Most heat tolerant grasses go dormant in the winter and turn brown. As a resident with a home on the pitch and putt in Sophie's Point I can tell you that they are doing a fine job with the new golf course. Finally there is a starters shack for check in. To my knowledge there is no requirement to check in at Southern Oaks.
@@DD-Aerial-Photography I’m a new to the Villages, but I am familiar with the various grasses used on different.golf courses. Heat tolerant grasses start going dormant in November, depending on temperature. Not all grass goes dormant at the same time. Also some courses may “overseed” with cold weather grasses. Different grasses for different uses. I’ll bet if you look closer at your footage you see the different colors. Go back and look at the footage in this video of the pitch and putt and the 9 hole executive course and you will notice the differences in colors as well as the uniformity of the differences. The point is to make the assumption and criticism that’s it’s poor maintenance is misleading and not fair.
@Tommy3Putts No, Maintenance needs to pick it up. This is the beginning of snowbird season. That course will look terrible by the end of the season. I use to work on a championship course here in The Villages. It takes alot of daily work to keep the course looking good.
@@DD-Aerial-Photography well I have the good fortune of looking at the pitch and putt every morning from my lanai as I have a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise. I beg to differ with your assessment.
Thanks Doug, we appreciate your time & effort!

Ok, thanks for the info on the Rec center. Also, why are other courses not brown like the chip n putt. Ok, the last time I checked in was at Sawgrass.
