If anyone didn't like this lady, should've had their heads examined. She was a great actress, her timing was impeccable, she had charm, her characters are memorable, she had spirit, a great sense of humor and she had great taste in costars. I don't know where to start with her movies. I've seen them 8 or 9 times. It's sad that she never had any kids, I think she would have made a great mother and a great grandmother. She was the best actress.......ever

This woman was a true legend. She had a beautiful, fascinating and mysterious life. I loved her movies ALOT and she got 4 Oscars and 12 nominations of which she deserved. Nonetheless, She died at age 96 and she will be dearly missed. Fly High Katharine.

Yes she was a great human-being and a great actress. She lived very long indeed to the ripe age 96. She achieved alot aswell. 4 oscars. Lifetime Achievement Award in 1979. She sure did achieve great things in her 96 year-long life. Rest Easy Miss Hepburn.

Spell her name correctly. KathArine. She hated that misspelling.

A great and unique human-being. She was 96 years old which is an age that not many people get to. She sadly was diagnosed with alot of things when she got in her 90s such as Dementia or Anthritis. The neck-tumor killed her really fast in 2003 shortly after her 96th birthday. But, let's not remember her as a frail 96 year old woman with Dementia and a Frail Old Body. Let's remember her as a great actress, great human-being, her 4 oscars and great movies. R.I.P. Katharine.

To this day Katherine Hepburn was and still is the fastest talking actress that I have ever seen. As a child watching her in movies beginning in the sixties, when faces were remembered but I was too young for names to mean anything to me yet, I could always identify her because she was the fastest speaking actress on the screen.
I must include that I especially loved Katherine in 'On Golden Pond' late in her career.

Yes, "Listen to the song of life." She had that inscribed into the mantelpiece of her Connecticut home.

Yes, she wasn't afraid of death. I recall that, in A. Scott Berg's book on her life, he said that she called death, "the big sleep."

Well she's afraid of death now. According to research she was an atheist. So she couldn't have accepted Jesus. And if you don't accept Jesus as your savior didn't you go to Hell

The fact that she got 4 oscars for playing herself is an achievement. My favourite movie of hers is "The Lion in Winter". It's such an emotional and heartbreaking movie. I loved her and she will be remembered forever for centuries. R.I.P. (May 12th 1907-June 29th 2003).

Hepburn did not have 3 older brothers as stated 4 minutes in. She had 1 older brother.

    • @stephaniek1076

Correct. Katharine had an older brother, named Tom. She was the second child. She had two younger brothers, Dick and Bob.

"Growing up with 3 older brothers" says the narrator of CNN! Do a research!!! Shameful.

      Absolutely. One older brother.

I think he perhaps merely misspoke, because a few sentences later, he talks about the death of her older brother.

CNN must have had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find this film critic. Not terribly bright or insightful.
