@@liftedppg4370 I trained under you at Aviator 😉 but have not purchased equipment yet. When I do, I'll absolutely be hitting you up to guide my skill progression
@@chrismackall1840 hahaha this is slightly embarrassing, I didn’t recognize the last name! 😅 Cheers Chris, I look forward to connecting with you soon man ❤️
This is just absolutely glorious. I can't recall seeing any other flying location in the US that called to me like this does. I really like the style, the music is perfect for just getting lost in the visuals. At the same time I would love to hear more about it :) It must only be flyable very rarely, eh? Was it cold? Bumpy? How far did you climb and how long did it take? I'm gonna watch it again right now!
Thanks for your comment Mark! I felt super fortunate to experience this, even more so for the GoPro to capture it. Winds are usually ripping through here so to get a 0-0 day two days in a row now has been spoiling! I do intend to make a twin video with commentary to provide the viewer with my mental thought process, so stay tuned 🫡
Beautiful. If I ever get in the sky I'd love to fly around the mountains and in Utah like the Moab area. What's the plan if you had a motor out by the mountains? Pray haha
ALWAYS know where you are going to land when it happens (not if). Doesn’t look like it, but the entire time I’m up there I know exactly where I am heading when it dies.
WOW, Very nice man. I am in Golden BC Canada. I have 12000' peak I have been wanting to do, and still waiting for the right day and mood to line up. You had sweet conditions it looked like. I you don't fly ppg in the mountains you may not realize that this is not an every day occurrence. Depending where your LZ is, out's are, winds from, all that stuff it can make it more difficult to do. Any way. blablabla from me lol. Thanks for the share , that was beautiful, good on you!!! (: cheers
Hey Jerry! Thanks for the comment. I probably should have emphasized just how fortunate I was that this lined up. Just looked Golden up, wow! I hope that peak flight lines up for you soon man 😄
Hello, I am enjoying your videos, keep up the good work. So on this particular flight when you were skipping along the peak of the mountain what would have been the out in an engine out situation? Were you able to glide down into the valley from there, what was your thought process when planning your flight? Thank you for your time and insights.
Hi Vincent! Thanks for your comment. At all times during this flight I was consistently planning my engine out spot. Before moving up here, I purchased a large paragliding/Paramotor hybrid wing that gives me close to a 10 to 1 glide ratio. With the thin air, this unlocks a lot of landing options! To answer your question, I was prepared to turn towards my landing zone should my motor cut. Admittedly, I was aware of the one or two times during this flight where I may not have made my intended landing zone, but knowing when there is risk that is taken is a great start to being prepared for that worst case scenario, primarily for the point of pushing through an “oh shit” layer of ice that can capture you. Hope that answers your question!
@@liftedppg4370 thank you for you response, I have been having motor troubles as of late and have had to stay close to home because of many engine outs. Because of this when I watched your video I was in awe of the beauty but couldn't get that feeling of how would I get out of this if my engine died. I realize that everything is a risk /reward balance but after watching some of your content you seem like a very safety conscious pilot who doesn't take many unnecessary risks. One of things I strive for as a pilot is to get to the point where I can enjoy the experience more with less stress about the unknowns and the what if's.
Hey Samuel, glad you found me! I’m using a Moster 185 swinging a 140 Helix. However the real money maker at this altitude is my 24M Kona 2, an extremely efficient with this thin air.
Beautiful footage! Loving the Channel so far…great content.
Second that!
Beautiful and inspirational. My paramotor life goal is to fly around mountains. Thank you for sharing the possibilities!
Thank you for enjoying the show! Are you flying already?
