Nice to see Maru looking in proper top dog form again.
Maru may have slowed a bit recently (burn out?) but I think he is the greatest SC2 player to have played the game.
Serral has been very dominant but for a shorter period of time.
Serral returns and beats Maru at his peak.

I expect Clem to go further, but I'm rooting for Maru since his late game is so fun to watch

If maru plays at the level he's shown so far in this tournament (2-1 clem, 2-0 serral, 2-0 dark) he's the clear favorite for IEM

Maru just beat the two best players in the world not named Maru
He did it once while he is constantly getting destroyed by both in the last year, especially from Serral. And he beat them in a bo3 which doesn't say much.
@OnigoroshiZero maru played serral *twice* in 2023, and traded with clem in the few series they played. Hardly the results of someone who got "destroyed"

Yet I do enjoy watching these videos with out knowing the final outcome.
Looking up results is not the same as seeing it occur in real time. Sadly due to work/schedules we can't all watch the live events. So i live those experiences as best as I can through these videos.

I came here because I kept hearing "Clem is the world's best terran" just to see... an average code S terran vs Maru. The hype isn't real.
I just noticed it was you on winter's video, and I imagine you won't say anything about the bo5 9 months ago when clem destroyed maru ?

You can't enjoy a bo between two monster but only complain and want to watch only game where maru win. Like what the fuck man time to grow up and start to enjoy life.
silly questions: is it cheaper to repair the cyclone than making a new one? with continual repair, would it be more expensive as time goes?

It costs 1/4 the unit cost to repair, plus the 1 mineral per second that the scv would have mined. So it's definitely cheaper to repair as long as you remember to put those scvs back to work ASAP. But it's yet another thing you have to do, and for pros, it might be less important than other things.
Clem is nowhere near Maru if Maru is in his best shape (willing to send the game past 10mins). Clem punished Maru before because the Korean obstinately pulled off SCV tricks along with his army. It was kind of disrespecting Clem (also see how Maru lost to Scarlett)
Maru almost always have the advantage in lategame, the question is whether he can play a clean enough early game to get there.

Clem is the guy who practices 1 technique. If it hits it works 😅. GG!
Clem does have a couple of different builds he can use, but most of them are off similar early setup, so yeah, hes more about the execution and micro then than variety of build timing and order. But dont be suprised if Clem suddenly go for proxy Racks.
More like he overwhelms hus opponents with speed. When it comes to guile and strategic planning he's quite lacking. Cant think of a game he's way behind and came back. Unlike the true greats like Maru, Serral Rogue Dark
This didn't feel like the Clem we've seen lately. Also it feels like Clem might rely too much on his micro skill rather than tactics.
Clem has been cooling down a bit from his hot-streak. He lost to Maru and Dark in this tournament (spoiler), also lost to Oliveira and MaxPax in Wardi tournament recently.
