Matt didn't actually step it up - he's just been set free! He's always had a remarkable voice, but as the bassman, hasn't had a lot of opportunity to shine. So glad. that he has been given more opportunities to really show everyone what an amazing, soulful vocalist he is!

They all decide who sings what lyrics and the arrangement with the goal being the best song. Them sliding in and out of the spotlight while they then effortlessly backup each other is a huge reason for their success. What makes this song so amazing is the way that each member slips from lead to backup and back so smoothly and effortlessly. It seems like they had, not verses, but _lines_ depending on whose voice can better serve the music best. For example, Scott has that powerful baritone with amazing riffs and runs, but when he hands the lead off to Kirsten (or Kirstie, not Kristen), he disappears into that melodious mountain of music that allows her to shine. I have to agree that Matt's solo was absolutely phenomenal! The whole song was powerful without being over the top. It had me in tears the first time i saw it. Excellent reaction! Cheers!
