This episode is actually pretty interesting. Touko's dilemma with her identity and the perspective of "change" removing what she believes is the reason that she fell in love. And Yuu's desperation to fall in love, not really knowing that she already is. Then her being scared of losing whatever it is they have by telling Touko that she has changed and wants to. I think what Touko tried to say was "please, don't fall in love with me". And Yuu's lie, is that she did fall in love, but admitting that would risk her losing Touko. Yuu also believes that Touko without her, she wouldn't have anyone else around to be the only part of her that Touko believes is "true". Yuu realized that her ability to "not fall in love" was the reason Touko could let herself be vulnerable and fall in love with her. It's very dramatic, but it's a very unique way of telling it. Imagine Yuu wanting to fall in love, because she thinks she can't, then realizing that if she does, it would be the reason she lost it. A part of Yuu wants to be selfish, keep receiving that love from Touko, but keeping it would mean to not allow her own feelings to matter. Thinking that her being with Touko and keeping up this lie... would keep Touko by her side. I do understand Touko's worry about change and how it could affect their love. I relate most to Yuu. Her being overly concerned with Touko, wanting Touko to be her honest self, but also Yuu wants to be needed, special and loved by her, even tho she knows she herself has changed. Not being allowed to fall in love with her, because it would mean losing her. Yuu sacrifices her own expression of love, so that Touko can love freely without fear of expectations. Sad really... if only they were ready to talk about it.
