Heeeey, finally a Taylor I actually DO like in all ways. Good sound, nice size, I’m sure the playability will be great and I love the looks for change. 😮🖤
Sounds super tinny to me too. My bias and style is 90% fingerstyle. I don’t think it would suit me. Aesthetically it’s beautiful. The droney tune Quinton starts the ending section was the only one I liked the sound of.
My ear is tuned to Gibson and Martin (and a bit Guild)--this is a different beast, V-bracing and bolt-on neck and whatever... but even the Legacy Taylors with x-bracing still very much sound "like a Taylor" and not like what I'm used to. But yes, they all sound a bit tinny to me... also woody tho!
Gotoh, in my opinion, makes the best tuners you can get for a good price (and it would be hard to get better for any price), plus made in Japan with ethical labor instead of outsourced to China. Martin should use Gotoh on everything instead of Grover on so much stuff.
I'd say the noticeable distinction was volume/punch and compact playability compared to 14-fretters of this body size/shape. As for presence and resonance, it's maybe a bit more difficult to say absent a true side-by-side comparison. This one did sustain nicely, which perhaps reflects resonance; however, I didn't "feel" the body moving to the extent I do with other guitars I've described as very resonant. Don't know if this is particularly helpful, but will say this is a very nice guitar and were I in the market, I would give this one serious consideration. Thanks for watching!

Lovely sounding guitar particularly fingerstyle and looks good too Nice playing Quinten
Loved it so much I had to get one myself, great little guitar!
Nice looking guitar and very tasteful playing.
That is one beautiful guitar and GREAT PLAYING !!!!!! Thank you guys again for a wonderful review ! Is the sound hole enlarged ???
Nice looking but extremely bright sounding. Almost harsh.
yep- kinda tinny-not for me
That’s the Taylor sound. Like scrubbing your ear drum with Comet.

They’re Gotoh tuners.
Is the Grand Concert larger or smaller than the Grand Auditorium? I can never keep track of Taylor's sizes.
Smaller size don't know about the sound hole
@@Papayajoseph Thank you.

Did you tune it to DADGAD?
I did for the end demo - just fun to get out of standard tuning now and again. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Quinton, great job on the demo. Looks like a good one.
Quinten, did the guitar exhibit any of the benefits of the bridge placement on this 12-fretter? Volume...presence...resonance??

Bit soapboxy perhaps?
