Mr. Allen is a great, musician. Ok, sorry, you all know that, but I found out today.
Dire straits, MK, are my favorite "bands". I'm 60 and I had plenty of time to listene their tunes a lot. I listened carefully this song and heard Knopfler singing, not with his guitar, but with his voice.

You're so right: "smelling the flower of music". Maybe, tasting this wonderful music is a gift of the gods to us. We're the privileged ones to hear and taste the beauty of this. It's something in our brain that makes it so. And remember, even Mozart met with a lot of resistance. If people don't have the taste of music, they don't have it! Don't blame them - pity them!
