- In this talk, Anuj Dhar, once again, tries to make sense of the waxed issue, one of the longest-running controversies of modern India and takes one through the three accepted theories about the fate of Netaji the official line being that he died in a plane crash in 1945. He examines a number of eyewitness accounts, documentary proof, and forensic evidence, to reveal the multiple inconsistencies in the official line and the conspicuous cover-up by the government (including the melting of INA’s treasure gold and being credited to Nehru’s personal account) make it hard to believe. The other two theories are that he died (or rather, was left to die in the cold snow) in Russia, and the third and the most plausible one- that of Gumnami Baba, who lived till 1985.
Dhar explores all the theories and smashes to bits, the Justice Mukherjee Commission’s cover-up of the case.

उनकी मृत्यु के रहस्य पर वर्षों तक पर्दा पड़ा रहा। क्योंकि उससे सम्बंधित सभी फाइलें प्रधान मंत्री कार्यालय, सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय और विदेश मंत्रालय के पास धुल खाती रही और आने वाली सभी सरकारों ने दशकों तक उन पर प्रतिबन्ध बनाये रखा।
अनुज धर, 'इंडियाज बिगेस्ट कवर-अप' के लेखक, ने पहली बार जनवरी 2015 में राष्ट्रीय अभिलेखागार में इन फाइलों को देखा।

He has authored several books about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the theories about his death/ disappearance He has authored several books, like Back from Dead, Conundrum, Your Prime Minister is Dead, What Happened to Netaji, all revolving around the locus of the disappearance/ death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. His 2012 bestseller, India's Biggest Cover-up (Netaji Rahasya Gatha in Hindi), triggered the demand for declassification of documents pertaining to Netaji. He is also the founder trustee of Mission Netaji, campaigning against the Bluff that the successive governments have fed to the people of India.

Great leader like Netaji would have come out in open if alive! He knew very well whole india was behind him. Even no Japanese General of Burma war theatre was charged by Allied powers! Azad hind fauj was formed by sardar Mohan Singh, and not by Subash Chander Bose, long before Subash Chander Bose.
All our children know about Neta ji in their books is just that - Azad Hind Fauj ki sthapna Neta ji Subhas Chander Bose ne ki thi. That's it. Kaise ki, kyun ki, kisliye ki sari history blurr kar di gai.

It appears that Government of India knew that Bose was living in India.It was a mutual arrangement with the Government that he will live in cognito as a Sadhu not interfere in country' s politics. Netaji took all care not to be identified and talked behind the curtain. He also had to change places as per t said arrangement. The US , Britain USSR and Government of India jointly chalked out this special arrangements because Bose was in love of his mother land and wanted to live and die in his country.

What an irony, Netaji liberated India and had to go underground because of British Empire, Gandhi and Nehru. He was seen with Lal Bahadur Shastri in Tashkent in 1966 and Shastri must have asked him to come back home to take his rightful position in the Govt. Shastri got killed and Netaji got missing. After some years, Netaji appeared in India with his memory medically eliminated. He stayed in his Ashram, which was heavily guarded by IB, SS and CBI. There is still a missing link, who wiped out his memory??

Is India so incapable to even give Netaji an honourable rest? Why can GOI not get the DNA test done of the ashes in Japan and if the ashes are of Netaji bring them back to India. He deserves that respect.
