If you're exposed to too much violence, extreme negativity and/or heartbreaking situations. Over time your psyche can be damaged. I'm not saying it happens to everyone but to many. Some officers, soldiers, those in similar work and/or people unlucky enough to experience such things in their regular life manage to hide it on the surface...but it can and often does comes out in various ways. Others can't hide it (sometimes that can allow them to get help quicker ). And 'sometimes' if they get and except professional help can be healed. But not everyone (whether it shows or not) is that lucky.

Almost 7 years ago I was walking in Frankfurt Germany 🇩🇪, to my hotel room from the hospital. My husband was slowly dying….. neurological issues. As I was walking drying my tears this “beautiful human” with the most sincere smile….. looked through me with that smile. It reminded me that even though it felt like my world 🌎 was ending. I was going to survive. Those 3 seconds our eyes… his smile comforted me…..imagine, me a complete stranger. Him an extraordinary human being…. Every time I remember that smile I ask God to bless him. He was truly and Angel. I still cry remembering how his smile was so godly. Thank you lord for him bless him.

I’m sure that moment gave you hope that you still have a future. My husband passed away and it felt like my whole world ended in that moment. I thought and honestly prayed that I would die soon as well. It is now 2.5yrs later and I am slowly starting to see the light again. I completely understand how a smile from a beautiful stranger lit up your world in that dark moment, and how and why you are still thinking about it to this day. Some moments in life transcends everything, it feels devine and hopeful and therefore is unforgettable. I hope you are well. 🌷
