Hi! Do you have a video explaining how to get Google drive to refresh quickly? Mine seems to take forever.... like when I upload from my phone, then go to open on my desktop/laptop...
Hi Tasia, I am new using Google drive for desktop (Mac) and I found your videos the most instructive out there, nobody does it like you and I am subscribed! Do you have something about Google drive for desktop preferences settings?. Knowing more about this product, how to set up preferences correctly, what to change and what to leave the way is it, those type of things. Thanks
Tasia hi I was looking to know how to do some Google Drive thingy....and ended up watching a few of your tips. Well explained so looking forward to look at more of your videos when I need help. Tech is not my cup of tea yet you are efficient and clear. So great job Tasia I understand your explanations and your fun to listen too!
Hi Tasia. First of all thank you very much for making your videos available to us. Your style of presentation is clear, well-articulated, and easy to understand. Good work! I am not new to Google Drive but do have perplexity with GD for the desktop used in conjunction with GD in the cloud. The perplexity is related to synchronization strategy, whether to merely stream GD to a local G:\Google Drive or to mirror the drive. Possession is 9/10ths of the law so the old saying goes, so, I having a local copy as well as cloud accessibility is extra security should the remote unlikely chance Google's system should ever fail. (Highly unlikely) Also local off line file access for media editing of videos, photos, etc., is faster versus access all that data through the internet. Alternatively, one way to deal with that issue is to simply use GD streaming option and share a local folder accessible through 'Other Computers' via GD on the internet. This way I would have the speed of local access as well as being able to to access the same data when OTG (on the go). Any thoughts? Have you created any video related to synchronization and using GD Desktop in conjunction with GD cloud? I just chanced upon your video today actually doing a search for the aforementioned synchronication perplexity. But you video here was quite interesting and informative. No matter how much we think we know about something there is always opportunity to learn something new. One such valuable new tip I just picked up on thanks to you is, your favorite, #3, extracting text from an image file. When I saw that I went like, Wow! Reason being, I often take photos of Japanese documents, or screen shots of Japanese character with definitions. On occasion I like to have that text available to edit Japanese-English documents as well as enhance and advance my knowledge of the language (advanced fluency). I was not aware it was that easy to simply open an image in Google Docs and get extracted text. Wow! That's a nice valuable bonus tip I learned today thanks to you. I wonder if multiple vocabulary / kanji character images can be opened in a single Google Docs file or if I will necessarily have to open multiple docs to accommodate each image. I will need to experiement with that idea. Thanks again. Keep up the good work. Cheers, TokyoJerry. p.s. I subscribed.
Thank you for your super thanks and for taking the time to watch, comment, and subscribe to my Channel! It means a lot. I appreciate your support. Have fun playing around in Google Drive! And you are so right, there is always something to learn.
0:55 *Thanks!* At first I thought that didn't work here in Germany. Until you then showed the changes in the setting. This was already prepared and only had to be activated. Great tips here on your channel. 🔴 And wow - the OCR part was new to me. That makes things a lot easier.
Your videos inspire me to start a company and run it entirely based on your protocols, that's right, protocols....not tips!(calling 'em mere tips seem like an understatement)
Tasia, I love your videos BUT I have one Deal-Breaker for Google Drive: Sharing folders/files with non-Google account holders ends up requiring them to create a Google account in order to access my shared material. Meaning, I've become an unintended agent for coercing them into the Google eco-system. Many of my intended recipients will mightily resent this. Your comments please!
Hi Tasha- I enjoy your videos. Thank you! Please add the “v” sound to the front of the way you pronounce “viola”. I hate to say it, but it sounds juvenile when you say “walla”. Please.
Hey friends! What are your favorite Google Drive productivity tips? Let everyone know in the comments below!
great content!
The “text in image” / OCR thing... had no idea it could do that!
Cool, right?

Ian, a viola is an instrument and is never pronounced as “walla”, or “vwalla”.
