sounds like theyre making a banner lord clone. this sht honestly breaks my heart. adulting is hard, and takes up all the time. i cant play the hardcore games i love anymore due to the time sink. this game had everything i wanted with mechanics that let me play when i had the time. the lobby system, the rolling servers. it was great. i thought this was going to be my forever game. shame on me for giving my heart away
this is exactly what i loved about LO, you can put your stuff in lobby if you cant play for some time and dont have to fear about coming back to nothing
Somewhat sad but not surprised, it makes sense for them to move on from a failed game, it's only going to cost them money unless they manage to pull something massive off like no man's sky, except NMS had a few million dollars in the bank. I also wonder how different Season 5 could have been had they fully invested in it, the lack of much new and a well-thought out balance makes sense now. This also reminds me of Worlds Adrift, also an MMO that had to shut down, partly because of prioritizing fixing bugs over new content and super high server costs, except at the end of it all you could truly feel that the devs were sad the game failed and truly wanted to see if flourish. Here DC is just abandoning the game banning anyone from bellwright forums that say something bad about the game, at the same time I wonder how much of that comes from the development team and corporate though. Although the Worlds Adrift team was very open and even released some updates for the island creator - a separate game wherein you could create islands that could be implemented in the game, if you contact Bossa studios about the game now - even for a legal question they won't respond to you. But yeah, I'm sad/angry that they just fooled us all with season 5, had they properly invested into it it could have truly been something
Also forgot to add but imo a proper response is what Starbase did, the game failed to get enough funds, I think the semi-official wording is because of not enough players but could also be because they were backed by a Russian company, and then the Ukraine war happened. The developers acknowledged that they did not have enough funds and will keep a skeleton crew on the game to mainly fix bugs to hopefully return once they have the funds to continue working on it
the problem is that they pretended to be actively working on the game while actively working on a new game. And we only found out about it because of the steam listing and last word from them is that they are working on the pvp update (last update around 5 months ago)
@@SeppelsGaming Yeah, my point basically, if they had said from the start, even just "Hey guys, financially we can't continue with development of the game" I would have been pretty ok with that, but they just fooled everyone, though S5 could have been a genuine attempt without risking the entire company (hence why so little was done in so much time) I think it's frustrating that they still just ran when S5 din't work out anymore (although S5 being a genuine attempt can be debated from DC's actions when S5 was finally launched)
game sounds neat. Shame itll never happen. Those Devs never finish a single project and even the EA is riddled with issues. They just have no ability to develope a game.
i enjoyed the game itself for over 3 years now but when you have a EA game you need to have a vision that you are following (and that the players like) and thats the main point where they failed. From s1-s4 it was relatively consistent and then they switched everything around and completely changed direction and now they stopped following this new direction aswell, so gg
Redundant video now that Bellwright has been released. Game looks good but i would wait until donkey crew actually improves it before buying. It has the same foundations as MB II (donkey crew comes from MB modders) but different. Worth to keep it on the list. Btw innovative is a word and rain check means to be forthcoming in a later date ;)
Donkey Crew has been doing nothing but making and abandoning games ever since they started after the C-rpg mod. Really wanted these guys to succeed but have zero trust in them. When speaking with Chadz many years ago in the Mount and Blade modding community he always loved making memes and trolling the players. Funny enough when you're a modder but I don't know if I can take this guy seriously.
they finally added modding to last oasis and the community is going pretty hard on making them :)
hope that the game comes back strong with the help of modders ^^
@@SeppelsGaming I've been playing S3 again, by doing a patch 7GB to S3.
Thanks shining a light on this. we knew they abandoned the LO community but it is nice to have this closure.

Was told about that is "Chadz-Style" ... still hoping that someone can buy/rent or steal LO. IT should survive that Monkeys...
Where to buy the same cup as you have? It is cool! Oh, and you are totally correct about the Donkey crew.
thx. cup is dunoon henley 600ml, should be able to get it on amazon etc. ^^
I really miss it :/
if you are on pc there is a server in the making using a modded client and it should soon be ready ^^
@@SeppelsGaming yeah I know but I’m a dirty xbob
