Hey I’m 6’2” and I no longer want to tent camp it’s all hammock for me from now on. They are comfortable easy to set up and if you use an under quilt and a nice quilt inside I’ve slept in 29-30 degree weather no issues.
Really great video! It reminded me of when I tried my hammock for the very first time! I would definitely like to see more hammock videos from you as you learn all about it!
I've really enjoyed your videos, watching your hammock video. 😂 to good. 😂😂😂 You should reach out to Tony on Random adventures 2.0 He's awesome and that's his thing. I even believe he's in your area. You two should do a video claberation. I think it would be amazing you 2 seem like you would get along great. Have a blessed day thanks for the videos.
Thank you so much. I laughed so much for 15 years that I’ve been doing hammock camping. I never knew being a fat guy like me. Somebody was going to come with a good video like that thank you.😅😂😂
Hennessy hammocks are awesome. Great choice. You gotta get rid of the tying though. Look up hammock hanging hacks and find one that suits you best. Cut the cords man, they are frustrating.
Bridge hammocks for the win. Trying one was like going from being a ground sleeper to a gathered end hammock for the first time. Total difference maker. I'm a side sleeper so, the gathered end hammocks didn't work out that great. Would end up in a ball in the middle of the hammock. Bridge hammock solves the issue. Best sleep in the woods I've ever had.
Old fat guy here I have been and still do hammock camping for well over 40 years now , not a backpacker anymore but a quad , truck camper also with sleep apenia , I use a travel cpap with battery inside my Hennessy Hammocks works great can about 6 hours of good sleep , like others suggest ditch the lashing and try other methods for hanging , my go to is Munter hitch and carabiner , I like a larger rain fly my main one is aqua quest , good luck and keep trying .
Loved this video. "Hang" in there and you’ll get better at setting it up. That thin line that runs across you hammock is a ridge line that helps to keep the 30 degree sage in your hammock while you set it up. But truly one of the funniest videos I’ve seen in a long time.

I am a fat old guy and I have been hammock camping for over 40 years now , never sleep on the ground again.
Learn the truckers hitch knot. It’s great for hammocks and tying down loads.
I think a pup tent would be a better choice just saying
Hey if you want a low cost entry into Hammocking harbor freight has a good one for 20 $!

What cords? I never use those side bungies.
Yeah you will need an under quilt and they make the snake skins for the rain fly as well.
Enjoy that hammock!
Great Canadian hammock, eh. (Gabriola Island, B.C.) Get yourself an 'under-quilt' for cooler to cold weather...and enjoy! Cheers from Victoria, B.C.

That look on your face when you first successfully sat in your hammock… “I’m in a hammock!” LOL
