Nice set up! Will you have enough room for the Philmont food?

Great video! Headed to Philmont in August. You and I have a very similar load out, but I was curious about what you are taking for sleeping clothes?

I would throw in a low cut pair of running socks in as well. Your feet are going to be pretty gross and it’s worth 1oz to keep your bag clean.

If you have something then IMHO you are good to go! Thanks for the great videos. I’ve shared them with our crew and they have been very helpful. Hope your trek is epic!

Do you need all the cold weather gear for mid-to-end of July?

depending on the elevation of the camp, you may just need it. We had a snowball fight as we came down off of Baldy in early July. We had a couple of mornings that were in the mid to upper 40's. Some camps have recorded temps in the upper 30's (although that is less common). I typically wore the cold weather gear for breakfast & coffee and then started to shed layers before breaking camp. After packing up camp in the morning, a breathable fleece layer was all I needed. The lower elevations were much warmer for us with temps in the 60's at night.

Awesome improvements from your last video, you can check out my video for Philmont on my channel. As for coffee Philmont will give you Nescafe sleeves but I'd recommend bring Starbuck sleeves much better coffee. I'd definitely get with the other leaders to share the weight of a coffee stove, my troop uses jetboils for cooking so I just used one of those for coffee. As for snacks Philmont meals are so big that there is always something that you don't eat that you can snack on, my opinion. If you look at my video, check out my electronics you might see a weight savings ideas there. I plan on doing an up date video soon too.

Also I would make sure you have enough water carrying capability, we require our crew member to be able to carry 5L due to dry camps.
