This was one of the most moving, poised and graceful announcements I have ever watched…to be able to do this at what is probably the worst moment in her life is beyond inspirational and truly touching. She apparently did this video in one take.

Daffodills are one of the first flowers to bloom in Spring.
The newspapers reported that Princess Catherine wrote this herself very quickly. And the BBC (the UK's national broadcaster who records all important Royal events and announcements) said she did it in one take. Shows just how personal this broadcast is and how much it means to her to personally deliver her message.
Thank you for your analysis. I am angry at the way the Princess has been dragged and bullied because she chose to pull away from public appearances to recover from major surgery then start chemotherapy. Indeed, she delivered the announcement brilliantly with courage and grace. No doubt it will be studied and used as an example of how to write a well crafted announcement.
I wept while watching the video yesterday. As a 63 year old woman with Stage 4 breast cancer, I have been living with the disease for 8.5 years and continue to receive oral treatments, blood tests, quarterly PET/CT scans, & bi-annual brain scans. Cancer is a treacherous disease and nothing is guaranteed. The disease and treatments have and continue to exact their toll on my body. I thank God for each day that I wake up surrounded by the love of my husband and our children.

I think she did this on her own to show the world that she is a strong woman and determined to put her children first. Clearly sending a message out there that she has the support of her husband and immediate family. But thanks all those that wish them well on this health journey and then passing on her heart felt wishes to others that are also on their healing trip too. One very special person. ❤
I honestly have never seen anyone address such a serious subject with this kind of poise and dignity. In a little more than 2 minutes, she has humbled all (well not all) who have been poking fun at her expense. While some are backing off, as they should, others are sticking the knife in further. One such comment I saw today said that God knew what he was doing when he gave the King and Kate cancer. Catherine has done all she can do.. I hope she is able to put aside the pure hate that will continue to come for her and focus solely on her recovery. I will be praying for her and all of her family.

Your Analogy was perfect. Here in the UK, we were told she wrote the statement herself, shortly before filming, which was done in one take. She truly is remarkable, we are blessed to have her as our future Queen. God bless her, and the King, with a speedy recovery. Give strength to William, the children, and Middleton family.
I really appreciate your video - and I wholeheartedly agree with what you said. I was very impressed by the setting and her care with her words. I was so touched to hear that she was so intent on ensuring that her children felt safe and cared for. I felt she looked pale and tired, and I appreciated that there wasn't heavily applied makeup for that moment. She looked as one would be expected to look when going through chemotherapy and what must have been an emotional roller coaster for so many reasons. I hope the hype dies down so that she can focus on herself and her family.

Yes, her delivery was perfect even though it had to be so very difficult. It felt like those words and sentences were just the way she would say them…not written by palace staff.

Catherine Princess of Wales is surrounded by daffodils in the background - a flower associated with Wales. She is sitting in the healthy fresh air, in simple, healing nature. She is dressed simply, no make up, she has basically come to us in this video as an ordinary woman pleading with us to let her heal, let her have privacy. I'm appalled this wonderful, brave lady felt she had to do this.
Be appalled at the Palace, the monarchy. The reporters were concerned for her. They lied and said she didn't have cancer, and were about to be exposed. They set her up, and made her go out and perform from her sick bed! Be appalled at her husband who should be sitting by her side holding her hand. It's all fake to please the monarchy. She is likely mad as hell for being exposed. They didn't have to say it wasn't cancer, but they did and exposed her. Now she had to go out and be their performing monkey!

I think one reason she chose to do this announcement "alone" rather than with Prince William sitting beside her is so people with cancer who don't have that kind of accompaniment themselves will be able to hear her concern for them and feel a kinship of sorts more deeply. Just so unselfish and brilliant.

It is almost unbearably moving. The only sign of anguish and tension is expressed by her hand gestures. Also however skilled you may be as a communicator and the Princess is as good as it gets, you cannot fake the sincerity and sweetness of nature; or the glint of steel.
For someone who is shy and introverted, Princess Catherine was pitch perfect. She is a kind, and thoughtful person.
The Princess of Wales is a highly intelligent, highly educated women. People underestimate her, because she is quiet and a bit of an introvert. But she has a spine of polished steel. I think we in the UK are lucky to have her as the wife of a future King and the mother of the next generation of the Royal Family. I am sure she wrote this speech herself and knew exactly how she wanted to deliver it. She is also a credit to her parents and siblings.
She is so genuine and we can empathize w her bc we pick up on her sincerity and empathy

She is the most wonderful person. She shares this very difficult message with such grace yet sets her boundaries at the same time. As a cancer survivor myself I wish her well. She is going to get through this with her positive attitude. That makes the difference. I was diagnosed at a very young age with two children under the age of four and their well-being motivated me to beat this monster. I am now sixty three and my children have grown up to be wonderful adults. Dear Princess Catherine, may you be blessed always and get well soon. Lots of love from South Africa ❤️

The FAMILY needed time to deal with this privately, but unfortunately IMO Meghan’s lieutenants OS and CB in cohoots with KJ, KK, and TMZ allegedly, made sure to spread ugly rumors around the media and heap more stress on a family who was just trying to cope IMO.

They didn't LIE about the photo and the video. The photo had MINOR EDITS to sleeve of Charlotte's coat, Louis sweater, and I think the zipper on Catherine's jacket. They didn't copy-paste different heads on themselves from earlier photos. Also, that video was real. A Portugese tourist who was visiting Windsor Park at that time took it and sold it to the Sun who then split the cost with TMZ. Now why would the Sun and TMZ pay over $200,000 if the video was fake?

I am a nurse and from the beginning l suspected she had some form of gynecological surgery and due to either being benign or malignant, hoping of course for the former and now to her hear she did have early stage cancer from this surgery is very sad but hoping it is first stage and can through therapy e.g chemo or raditation ,she will soon be well and healthy again and back and doing what she does so well and best, being simply the beautiful Princess of Wales, the second "People's Princess" ❤❤beautiful women with such grace and poise❤❤🙏🙏

Not trying to tell people what but just encouraging, as many of my family through many years and other families are coping with cancer, i encourage people to donate to the Cancer Society on Prince Catherine's behalf, she is always thinking of others, even when she's suffering. And its a gift we can give back to her by giiving to others.
They are not tulips but daffodils, i.e. the flowers which adorn all available space in the UK this time of the year. As William Wordsworth noted, "A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees,Fluttering and dancing in the breeze."
