I love the opening 6, it's their backstory... If you didn't realize, they're on the same team when they're supposed to be rivals(op 6 is the backstory when they're middle schoolers)
Kuroko no basuke is one gem where every song is performed by one band. In this case its Granrodeo,another case of that is Rising of the shield hero,where every op is performed by Madkid
My favorite sports anime of all time, i highly recommend it! Also im only 5'3 as a 23 year old man lmao and i wish i was better at basketball too but the best thing about basketball is if you have a hoop and a ball, you can improve and get better all by yourself. Theres not many team sports out there imo where you can practice all by yourself and still get better at most fundamental areas like dribbling, shooting, etc.

oh by the way, have you tried akame ga kill openings and endings? the song is good and the anime is cool. tells the story of an organization fighting against a kingdom/government (in this anime the organization is the good side while the kingdom is filled with cunning and evil high-ranking officials) and in this anime of course it contains BLOOD
my problem with Kuroko no Basket is: In the early episodes, they was over powered, but still in "reality", but at some point this anime became Dragon Ball with a orange ball in there.... I recommend to see the endings, they are good too.
If we're talking sports anime, my favourite is still Prince of Tennis, because it's the first one I ever watched. But Kuroko no Basket is great as well.

The openings for sport anime are so intense and high energy that really draw you in! Like others have said the openings are by an amazing JRock band called GRANRODEO, with the exception of one: Opening 6 Zero is by Ono Kenshou, who is also the voice actor for the titular character. As for the title it has multiple: Kuroko no Basuke or Kuroko no Basket are the Japanese titles, and in English we've got Kuroko's Basketball and The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays. They are in High School (which for Japan is 15-18 years old). I'm a huge Kuroko no Basuke fan...to the point I tried my hand at translating some of the character songs they made for it. It is a massive sports anime with so much extra materials (audio dramas, [over 100] character songs, spin-off manga, light novels, stage play, live events, bloopers, and fan disks) in comparison to not just other sport anime but other anime full stop. It first aired twelve years ago and technically finished airing in 2017 (when the movie was released), and they're still releasing merch for holidays, anniversaries, and the characters' birthdays.
I've been watching this anime since 2013, it was released in 2012 and have rewatched it constantly since. I'd say I rewatched it maybe 8-12x! I literally love it so much, if it weren't for gintama it'd be my favorite from all the 500 anime and thousands of manga I've seen!
Granrodeo always have banger anime openings and it's such a treat that they did all of them for this series. I can't be less sporty irl, but watching sport anime is just so fun!! They always portray such passion for their chosen sport and they often animate speciality moves or characteristic playstyles as superpowers.

If it's basketball then you have to watch Slam Dunk. The author of the manga (Takehiko Inoue) was awarded national recognition for helping the popularity of basketball to grow in Japan due to the manga 'Slam Dunk'. I definitely recommend watching the openings and the anime itself.

Not every song, "Zero" Which is op 6, is sing by Kensho Ōno the voice actor of Kuroko.
