- A Geeky Man Turns Into the Most Brútal Elite Assassin to Avenge the Death of His Girlfriend
Twenty three-year-old Mitch lost his parents to a tragic car accident at the age of fourteen, and his girlfriend to a terrorist attack just as they were engaged. Seeking revenge, he is enlisted by CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy as a black ops recruit. Kennedy then assigns Cold War veteran Stan Hurley to train Mitch. Together they will later on investigate a wave of apparently random attacks on military and civilian targets. The discovery of a pattern in the violence leads them to a joint mission with a lethal Turkish agent to stop a mysterious operative intent on starting a world war in the Middle East.

Ghost was not dishonorably discharged. He was left behind to be tortured because that's what happens to black agents who get captured...and that's why he was disillusioned with the US.
He was the C.I.A's form of discharge, dead. He disobeyed orders which got him into trouble in the first place which put Hurley in a position to chose one man over all the hostages, team & himself.
@@seabeeswebuildwefight9723 that's my point. What happened to him was his fault. But as a SAD agent, it's not like you have "strict orders." You're given a job and it's up to you how you get it done.
@@curtism-w6b his job was to extract hostages, they bad extracted them & were on the way out when he went all rambo & apparently tried running back in to take out some of them & got blown up. Hurley blames Ronnie, Ronnie blames Hurley it just goes round & round. Rapp was everything Ghost couldn't be anyway.

Yes, but he didn't put his teammates & integrity of the mission in jeopardy, he did what he felt to complete his mission. He succeeded all those times as well.

There is to much details from the book to put into a movie. They should have made it a TV Series like the are doing with Jack Reacher.

Was deeply sadened already by the opening lie - as if any single one of such events, where "terrorists" just mow down civilians, was not an obvious false flag, in order to justify subsequent "retaliation" of the ruling empire. "Hey, let's kill a few innocent people, so that they hate us more - then we for sure will get what we want from them". Who buys that shit?!
I actually like martial arts movies and this looked like a good one to watch in full length. But, no joke, I would feel guilty meanwhile, supporting the empire's 'war on terror' bullshit, by spending money (and time) on something like this.

To give in a few explanations why ? Strictly from your opinion
@@apollyon2927 well for one, the movie altered the original story to the point where you have to squint at the movie to see any sort of similarities outside of names. Also the characters weren't as well developed, and they went into the action far too quick. Also there was a lot more political intrigue in the books, and the movie escalated to the nuclear threat thing far too quickly. Basically what it comes down to is that the books promoted more thought and got me more invested in the characters, while the movie was just a mindless action flick, with action that wasn't even that realistic

If you wateched the movie, Keaten preaches about not having it be personal but then gets all personal and he has to chase down his former student and stop him. ahahahha.
