Proper hi-fi in one beautiful, highly engineered component. The Naim Audio Uniti Atom makes it so easy to just connect your speakers, connect to your network and go. With a jaw-dropping sound that makes you look for more boxes or subwoofers, the Atom is an Upscale employee legend, and in fact, Kat has one in her own home system.

Kevin -love your informative videos, but more Kat please. She adds so much to the videos.
Kat is awesome and so much fun to speak with and learn from. Great advice- so happy with her recommendations. You guys are great!
Much better lighting today. Thank you. Upscale is back. Love it!
I’ve had mine since December after I returned my NAD M33 after 1 day. I pair it with Ohm Walsh 5000 speakers, and I think the sound and the user experience is more enjoyable than my main and more expensive system comprised of separate components. Everything Kevin and Kat said about this unit is true. Love it!
Interesting. The M33 is supposed to be awfully good. What did you like better about the Atom ?
@@jimji2774 m33 is clinical sounding (boring). Naim is warmer and more enjoyable to listen to
@@BijBijTCG Nad =neutral. Naim=coloured ?
Wow…. Not even a M10…. It’s bigger brother got beat. I’m searching for an one box streamer/integrated amp, and I keep looking for something to knock off the Atom… like maybe the way less expensive NAD C700. I’m thinking this M33 story is the best example on why this BluOS streamer would also take a beating from the Unity Atom… dang…
Being British the thing I loved on the back is that it’s still made in England! So many of the “British”brands these days have an office with a couple of designers then ship off the manufacturer to China then slap a Union Jack on the front!
Not just ‘Made in England’ but the postcode as well!
I use Cyrus and that made in england, in fact if it says ' made in england' its made in england. Perhaps your talking about stuff that use to be in england and was bought out maybe, either way if it says made in england, then it is. And that's most British hi fi, in fact I can't think of a single top end British manufacturer that doesn't design and build its equipment in the UK ?
Shoutout to Cambridge for doing just that lol. I love my CXN V2 so I can't complain haha
i worked in a hi end shop i had the oportunity to play around with the sweet ATOM i conected it to bw,sonus faber, revel ,paradigm and focal i must say im more into valve amps and bigger gear but these ist the coolest ,sweetest and best sounding minimalistic gear i ever encounter if i woud life in a apartment and have a wife that hates having a big amp and huge speakers in the living room i woud get one of these and a pair sonus faber sonettos 2
I lost it at the Tom Cruise photoshop, well played 😆
You guys bounce off each other well, more Collab videos please, it works. And Kat, would love to drink some bourbon and get weird with you while listening to some Tool. 🤘
Hola, saludos de Chile, a question, i have followed several Naim reviews and they all agree that their 40 watts can drive demanding speakers, my question is why choose only this one and not the 70 watt NAIM UNITY STAR, Gracias
don't care about Naim but the lady is awesome
We Love you Kevin but more Kat product reviews........You guy's are Awesome!!!!!
Comparison against NAD M10, please, guys? (GREAT JOB, KAT! MORE!)
Yeah. I bet this is smoother...than the m10. Or no?
Great content! I've got an Atom, paired with MA Silver 200s, brilliant combination that punches way above its size!
The Naim product gets lots of respect from the youTube reviewers. I very much enjoyed this, but, I have to say, I about spit out my Spanish Rice here in the kitchen at that comment at 8:57..........Cat said........."I'm not.." Love your video presentations Kev. always great dinner time entertainment ((O:
@Kat O Yes Kat, it really caught me off guard and cracked me up LOL.
Some of your technical talk is not correct but good to try. At least you love the Naim products good luck
Kat is such a cutie! ❤️ 😍
Kat likes Tool? Now I'm a big fan and may end up getting those Forte IV from Upscale after all. Tempest is epic
Focal Kanta 1 with Naim units atom is the setup I want to go with. I am glad someone knowledgeable already has it and approves of it.
Can this unity atom push Kanta 2’s effortlessly?
Great presentation Kev and Kat
Great system. Please review the Naim Uniti Nova top of the line all in one.
great vid, love Kat and love the unit. Kevin, love you too!!
Have an Atom an Nova , they are truly something special.
Yay, Triode Trixie.
Only bummer about the Uniti Atom and Nova is it converts the analog input to digital so kind of a big bummer of a thing to run your analog rig into.
@Kat O :( but will it still sound better than most systems for vinyl or I better look at other amps if I prefer vinyl over digital...also I'm afraid Naim will release a new player that will make this one not as good but I'll keep waiting forever if I always wait for the perfect system :( Cambridge evo 150 looked better but the sound isn't better I hear...great videos thank you!
@@ThousandThrills Same! It’s been a 3 year wait!
You two are awesome!!!
Where can we see Kat's system video, I did a quick search and couldn't locate it.
Sorry about that, we've now added a link to the video in this video's description.
@@upscaleaudio Thanks
Kevin mentioned multiple times that the Kanta 1 and bookshelf speakers in general are hard loads to drive. But in Kat's "employee system" video, she specifically said the Kanta 1 was not hard to drive. Can someone explain this discrepancy?
Kat / Kevin can the Atom drive Tannoy Eatons sufficient for a smaller room?
Dont have them install a ortofon cartridge on a rega they screwed mine up ken said ship it to him and they'll fit the headshell leads they screwed up for nothing or near nothing now they want to screw me 200.00
Which B&W speakers are perfect match for the Naim Uniti Atom? TIA.
This product seems horrifying. Why put an amp in this unit, seems too small for ab amp.
Terrific review but never heard a $$$ on it or what it's competition is? Or is this unit their intro model? I know naim gear isn't cheap. Wonder how this would drive my b&w matrix 802. Can this unit output it's sound through analog or digital to a preamp as well? I'm sure it's been mentioned but your probably not taking full advantage of your Sutherland phono pre running it into the naim. I'm sure even naims conversion of the analog phono is still decent😀 thanks for the review!
Is this a good fit for Klipsch bundle 8000 with sub. ?
I wish I worked there so I could take home a $15k TT. Wouldnt have picked the Sutherland phono pre or this Naim unit though
Kevin , I bought my main DAC , it is reference DAC , for 12 years ago I hear it , it blow my mind , it is 24 bit DAC .
No other brand come close to it, naim prouduct is true audiophile , but expensive, BUT it is worth it
Greeting from Sweden
Kat for pres 2024! Love her and my Atom. I'll be checking out her system for sure. I would love to get a TT but the Atom converts is analog input to digital then back again (as I understand it). Seems like a different amp might be better for the TT but as I mentioned I do love the Atom. Thanks you two!!
@Kat O If analog through the Atom is good enough for you it's good enough for me! Hopefully someday soon you can hook me up with a TT for my listening pleasure. I enjoyed checking out your system. I'm running my Atom into Cornwall 4's. Fun stuff. Thanks and enjoy!
@Kat O Well I like the sound and don't find it harsh. But I'm no expert and don't have a lot to compare them to. I will say however that there is definitely an audible hiss from the Atom though the high sensitivity CW's tweeter. Can't hear it from the listening position. Only with my ear against the grills. This is is a commonly reported condition of the Uniti series through high sensitivity speakers and I knew it before I bought it. Try it at your store and see! When I first got the Atom I also had an NAD integrated to compare. The NAD was silent. The Atom has a hiss. But the music sounds great and the overall EXPERIENCE is off the charts!! Thanks again!
@Kat O Where is the video of your system? I can't find it. 😩
@Kat O Hey Kat I really appreciate your help! The thing is I really enjoy the Atom and I cannot hear the hiss unless I literally put my ear against the tweeter. It's just nitpicking because I'm never gonna listen to music that way LOL. Like I mentioned many others have reported the same deal. And it's not related to volume. Can hear it at 1 or 51 on the dial it sounds the same. Also a pop when turning on. I hear it only affects high sensitivity speakers. I do have B&W 705S2's which have sensitivity in the high 80's. Can't hear a hint of the hiss through the B&W's. Thanks again you got cool beans!
Great video! Does it pair with Rogers LS3/5a (15 ohms) well. Thanks in advance.
Kat is a bourbon drinker? I'm in love!
This man can sell me the Geico lizard and I will buy it.
I have an Uniti Atom on my desk set up and it is pretty awesome.
I love beefy, the more beefy the better.
I own a uniti star and haven't recovered yet
Great video! Thanks.
Has Kat tried any of the tube stuff?
Is the Atom 3 at 3 times the cost of the Bluesound Powernode that much better ? Is the sound considered warm or more neutral or how ? I think you said it is an AB amp which tend to have a certain sound compared to D class ? Thinking of getting some Wharefdale 4.2's with it. Would that be a good combo ?
Naim > NAD > Bluesound
Aps suck
Yay, Kat's back🎶
I wish there were more dealers like Upscale! Hi-end audio is fun and awesome. Kevin and Kat have such enthusiasm and passion for music and understand the joy these products provide. Love these videos...keep 'em coming!
Damn Kat has good music taste
@Kat O Marry me! lol
Why is it that “high res” never sounds as good as my CD player or my turntable?
herb reichert said the same thing about CD -vs- streaming
@Kat O Nice presentation. Well, might be not a fair comparison but a ND555 will easily show what potential high res has, for sure. Greetings from Switzerland.
Very curious about this- have a 2004 Linn Classik- Revel m22’s. Will this run my Revels?? What are the ideal speakers to pair these with?
@Kat O yeah- im old guy (51)who streams everything now. Klipsh? I once heard naim 250dr with spendor 100s and fell in lust. 10k budget fospeakers and all in one.
@Kat O thank you.
I have a uniti star paired with ProAc DT8. Sounds unbelievable.
I'm soooooo confused now. I have to call you guys. You gave the Auralic Altair G1 the same rave review. Which one is better?
It's not really a direct comparison. This is an all in one amp/streamer/dac. Altair is Streamer dac and pre amp. You still need a power amp with Altair
@@ryansudding667 Thanks Ryan. I’m researching too much and confusing myself .😂
@Kat O I'll contact you next week! Confusion, confusion. LOL
😉
Have an nova. Love it. It will surprise you what a stonking value it is. One box unit with Streamer with every connectivity + excellent dac and amp synergy and sound that’s nothing short of the best
U try putting similar quality of streamers , dacs , amps , and u will stash some much money and yet not sure wether the chain will deliver !
That synergy is taken care of. And boy it’s superbly entertaining I have tried towers to hungry book shelves and it’s got the juice !
Seriously good proposition if u looking for something in the living room that convenient looks awesome and yet audiophile
Bravo naim !!
MQA?
Naim dont do MQA
MQA is a scam... All about royalties and control
@@AlexanderTG3 the costs are totally visible to the consumer. You have choice if you want it. Not sure how that is an issue. No one is forcing the customer to go MQA. I like it with some tracks. Others it makes 0 difference.
@@ryansudding667 Just give this video a watch please and you'll understand all the problems with MQA and the lack of transparency. I have been using Tidal for 3+ years and just signed up to Qobuz as it was always my prefered streaming service and having superior SQ too. But was never available in Australia until now.

@@AlexanderTG3 Hi Alex. Thanks for the video. I am fully up to speed on the current issue. I still think the jury is still out on this one before we can call it a hoax. We need to wait and see the response from MQA as well as Tidal before we come to any conclusions. At the end of the day the customer decides on the success of this. There are still many credible advocates for MQA, so I prefer to let the community let it success or fail based on all the facts.
The one thing that doesn't get mentioned when talking about Naim devotees:
Yes it's a quality brand and rightly has a lot of fans because of it, but they seem to have a rather 'Apple-like' approach to pulling customers into their ecosystem. Naim amps beget Naim sources to use the abundance of proprietary Naim interconnect connections onboard. Then of course use the Naim exclusive outboard power supplies to open up the sound even more...a different one for each at that. Might as well have the whole thing tidily tucked into a Naim FarimLite rack.
It does not drive JBL L100 Classic.
Kevin, which speakers in the $2k price range would you purchase with the Naim Unity Atom? Thanks
High-end?
