Hi David, how do you find the intonation on the Mr P F? Is it harder than a 3099, being a piston and all. Maybe because the stand is in the way, it's difficult to tell how much you have to manipulate the 1st valve slide and if you feel you have to move others, especially in the low register.

If you have time to answer another question, I’d love to know your thoughts on the sound and playing differences between the MrP F and say, a 3099/2 (PT10). I’m asking because I’m looking for a piston valve F tuba and I find the Yamaha Custom to be a little too close to a small C tuba sound. Anyway, like I said, only if you have time to respond. Best!

I find the MRP's intonation tendencies to be quite manageable. Some slide pulling, but not much. I am a fan of this instrument.
