The biggest reason why Southwest and Alaska are my favorite domestic carriers is because their flight attendants are so chilled-out, they're always friendly and humorous with me, they don't act like I'm some suspicious pain in the ass. It makes the flights on these airlines a much more easygoing experience. So anytime I fly in this country, I try to make sure it's on one of these carriers.
I hate when Flight Attendants become tyrants. I haven't had issues taking video...yet. I did have a Flight Attendant threaten to make me to jail for not locking my phone (we hadn't pushed back yet lol)
I have been travelling since the 60's. NEVER have I ever heard that you can't video a flight. Thank you DFW AVIATION. I will never fly UNITED AIRLINES again which is a shame. PAN AM, AMERICAN, TWA, UNITED, NORTHWEST ORIENT, DELTA, EASTERN were my main airlines around the world. Lately, only SOUTH WEST AIRLINES domestically!!!🙏❤👌
It does not, the only TVs are in First Class so they do the manual safety demonstration. In the other classes you have to rely on your device to watch things.
1:54 look up, who would've thought that would be today's trend, and also, what a rude passenger for telling you can't film, non of her business, if I would've been you I would ignore her
That's what I thought when I was editing it. Who would have known Zoom would be connecting us all through all of this. I didn't even notice the sign in person and didn't even know what Zoom was. Next time I will speak up if it happens again, which I hope it doesn't.
So ridiculous, I’ve never had a problem with filming on flights. I’ve traveled on United, Spirit, JetBlue, and American. They’ve never had a problem with it. You handled it well. Great trip report Liked!!
It was! I really haven't had any problems either (apart from this just once years ago on Volaris, but it was minor). The rest of my United flights on this specific trip, which were 4 others apart from this one, I filmed liked normal and the FAs clearly saw me doing it and didn't have a problem with it. I still think I should have said something after arrival, but I unfortunately didn't since I just wanted to get out of there. Thanks a lot for watching! 😊
@@dfwaviation2066 I got told by a flight attendant to delete all of my footage when I was flying Delta from SFO to SEA in 2019, I was extremely upset and I slapped her face 20 times before getting off the plane.
This is not the case with me when I flew to Maui from lax. the flight attendant was so friendly she let come to the back of the plane and let me have some free snacks and drinks. She also showed me flight radar 24 which I didn’t know about at the time. Further more the pilot was also the coolest he let me sit in the captains seat and take pictures and selfies. In conclusion it really just depends on the actually people not the airline. But all of the experiences I’ve had with United was great and both the pilots and flight attendants did not care whatsoever if I filmed or not.
I was getting angry for you just watching this! I don’t think I would have handled it as well as you did 👍🏽. I can’t say I’ve flown United airlines (maybe once) but in general I have the impression they suck and that route to Hawaii seems miserable.
Thank you, I still think that I should have said something before landing. I've actually never had any problems with United the 12 other times I've flown with them. I would have to go back to Hawai'i and see if the second time is the same service or different, be with United, American, or whatever other airline. But I do think they should have a larger offering of food on such flight.
Your impression is correct, sir. I've flown on United a bunch of times and they're clearly an exercise in aviation assholery. I've only flown to Hawaii on them when they've had occasional cheap sales I couldn't refuse.
We are going on United airlines flight 1175 to Hawaii from sfo idk the plane type I have to ask my dad but the flight departs at 8:30 am and we leave July 11
Ah, what a blow. It is one thing to have the flight attendant to ask you not to film. It made me really mad however when your neighbor told you not to. I mean, how will a video of a plane taking off that doesn’t even feature you in it bother you? Will it hurt anyone? NO. will it ruin your trip? NO. Will it ruin the flight? NO! It’s so annoying when airlines don’t let you film. 😡
I know! They should have minded their own business. And it wasn't the airline impeding it, filming is allowed on United, it was just that single FA that unfortunately was working the side and section I was sitting in. 😒 My brother was on the other side, and further back and he filmed and they didn't tell him anything. But that FA really had no nice tone at all.
Exactly, everything else was good. The other flight attendants were nice, and this hasn't really happened to me before. But, then again, the couple next to me where also not the nicest and involved so they also made it very uncomfortable.
Espero que hayas tomado una fotografía de la sobrecargo y lo más importante, hayas presentado tú queja a la aerolínea, denunciando el mal trato que tuviste por parte de ella.
If that happens to you again, you can record the whole thing and send it to United for the to review, if she really does anything wrong, they'll let you know
