      nation:
a population, normally residing in the same geographic region, in which most all the citizens share a common race, religion, language, and culture. This word is VERY often used erroneously in the stead of the term “country”. Therefore, it is highly suggested that one refer to the Glossary entry under “country”, in order to understand the distinction between a “country” and a “nation”.
Unfortunately, an enormous percentage of the population has been indoctrinated by leftists to regard NATIONALISM as a malevolent ideology, when in fact, the adherence to a nationalistic framework is beneficial to both the citizenry of a nation and to the world as a whole. Multicultural societies are constantly fraught with conflicts, due to the incompatibility of competing ideologies and practices.
Imagine, if you will, that the million most conservative men from an Islamic nation in Middle-east Asia, such as Afghanistan, and the million most feministic women from a liberal country like Canada, were taken to some barren island and asked to establish a new civilization. How harmonious and prosperous do you believe such a mismatch of persons would be? TOTALLY discordant!
Furthermore, a variety of national identities is intrinsically beneficial, for nobody would want to travel to another nation if that nation was fundamentally identical to their own nation, except to experience the unique geographical features, diets or climates.
I, for one, am glad that I can visit a nation such as Japan in order to experience its unique culture and language, then choose to visit or reside in nations such as Ireland and Egypt in order to experience the unique languages, food, art, dance, cinema, music, religion, and customs of those two nations. Of course, if I decided to reside in a nation where the language and culture differed radically from my own, I would need to adapt. For example, if I were to migrate to a Middle-east Asian nation, such as the one mentioned above, I could not openly criticize the Islamic faith (and especially its founder) without putting my very existence at risk. Upon moving to the Philippines over a decade ago, I found it EXTREMELY easy to acclimatize to its culture, since it is very much a Westernized nation, not dissimilar to the country of my birth, The Southland (that is, “Terra Australis” or “Australia”, as it is known in the Latin tongue).
“Nation” was first recorded in the thirteenth century, from the Middle English, from Latin “nātiōn-” (stem of “nātiō”), meaning “birth” or “tribe”, equivalent to “nāt(us)” (past participle of “nāscī”, meaning “to be born”) + “-iōn-”. “-ion” a suffix, appearing in words of Latin origin, denoting action or condition, used in Latin and in English to form nouns from stems of Latin adjectives.

The NHS is in meltdown including GP services, dentistry, emergency and medical services. the road network is overloaded and falling apart. Schools are in a poor state of repair and so the list goes on. Lib Dems and Greens know how to laser focus their support in constituencies where they're likely to win, so they can turn a small vote share into a relatively large number of seats
Farage does the opposite, he riles up a minority across the whole country but very rarely finds a large enough local voterbase to win any seats. The only places Reform UK Ltd actually tried to win a majority were their 'celebrity' seats like 30p Lee, Richard Tice and Farage himself.
I imagine that's by design, if Reform Ltd were actually in power they'd actually have to DO something. But as a minor party they can whinge as much as they want and rake in more money without ever needing to deliver.

The entire Western world is. I was reading a CBC article today about an immigrant to Canada who just got a letter saying one of her documents to entry was fraudulent. She entered the country in 2016 as a student. The document was an acceptance letter to a Canadian University. Supposedly someone told her, once she arrived, she was not really accepted she was on a waiting list. She stayed in Canada, she got her family over to live in Canada, had a child in Canada and all this was done without anyone noticing she was here illegally.
Of course, the CBC article was spinning it that she was the victim of some fraudulent immigration scam and she didn't know she was buying a fake document. Although any one with a brain saw her story just didn't make sense.
The entire family will inevitably be granted permanent status, I'm sure .

Your situation was quite different from what the UK was going through at that time. You needed to leave the eurozone to declare bankruptcy and recover slowly, unlike your actual experience. Instead, you were kept within the eurozone and pressured to surrender your assets and take on loans, as though debt were sacred. Greece now feels like a nation that's been conquered. I've been reading about the measures imposed on Greece and its people, and it's deeply troubling. It seems that Greeks no longer truly own anything. I'm really sorry for what has happened to your country.

Farage has been asked multiple times where he stands on abortion, but has never revealed his views. Judging by your tag, that might upset you. But it's worth knowing that the vast majority of people in this country tend to see it as an individual choice. There are a few fanatics but, on the whole, it isn't an issue in UK politics, so it's quite common for politicians not to take a stand.

    • @ProLifeBryce

@@bilbobaggins706 Thank you! I’m quite confident I’d vehemently disagree with Farage and these other two men over that and quite a few other critically important things. I’m also pro-2nd Amendment, and just the other day I heard Farage say anyone caught carrying a knife should be arrested and punished. Oy vey, that’s totally offensive to my American sensibilities. But I understand that at the very least, with Farage, I’m ALLOWED to be pro-life and advocate for that, and even to vehemently disagree with them, and he and these other two men wouldn’t call me evil for it, or advocate to have me jailed, persecuted, debanked, or executed for it. Leftists however, whom Farage opposes, are tyrants who cannot bear for anyone to disagree with them. Heck, even the wild-eyed mu5lim extremi5t5 have more tolerance with the pro-life cause than the tyrant leftists. We need to be cleverly discerning with these matters. • @ProLifeBryce

@@offshoretomorrow3346 I’d also add that both reasonable pro-lifers and pro-choicers tend to underestimate the extent to which tyrants don’t care about ANY of our rights and opinions, and the moment we disagree with and stand up to them on ANYTHING, their response is to smear and CRUSH all opposition. Someone may agree with the extreme leftists on abortion, but the moment anyone disagrees with and oppose them on any other matter, their goal is not to discuss the matter and arrive at a mutually satisfactory solution. Their goal is to SHUT YOU UP and CRUSH you. They’re always right. Their authority and rightness is never to be questioned, and if it is, you’re evil, and you must be stopped. Both pro-lifers and pro-choicers can and MUST learn to join together despite our disagreements and vehemently oppose the tyrannical illiberal, uniparty, globalist liberals that these three dear men clearly oppose. May God help us. Amen.

You're confused. He wants absolute power and he knows that the less rich and successful you are, the more likely you are to vote for him. So he organises photo opportunities down at the pub, trying to show that he's a "man of the people". And you fell for it.

FYI for the Racism industrial complex: I am black and wasn’t born here. I am only British on paper.

Great response. I was watching the controversy of the Olympics earlier about the female boxing. And one of the boxers has been tested and it has shown up that she is actually a man or "trans". He beat the girl up in about 40 seconds. The issue was raised to the Olympic authorities and their response was that the trans has a passport saying he was a woman. So basically we are expected to accept legal documents over scientific biological fact. Someone can have a piece of paper saying they are a British citizen but that does not necessarily make them British.

@@bieituns Very true. There is a clear difference between an ethnic Brit (Scot, English, Northern Irish) and a naturalised one. Does not give me less rights but my roots aren’t here and I must assimilate to British values to live here.
Pride in British history/values is being demonised and diluted away year by year and it’s quite sad to see. The future should be shaped by Nations who have a national identity and not by bland globalism.

This country has been broken for 20 years - in terms of policing, economics, housing, defence, and now extremism.
This country needs reform - and it needs rescuing from the three main parties that have inflicted this on them for reasons no more elevated than ideology and petty electoral advantage.
