My dad has this exact same tractor sitting in his shed. I think I'm going to take it home and shine it up and get it running again. As a kid I drove it so much and liked it. He has the 3 point gear for it as well. Nice work and enjoy!
Wow that's interesting, i have a 1974 jcpenney 1808 8hp lawn mower that i got from the original owner, said he ordered it from a catalogue when he moved in lol
Very cool... a 990 from the year I was born! This would hence be one of the last whose engine would have the points ignition (if the model is 326437 with a type number of 0328-01).
Very cool. It runs pretty good for not running for 20 years. I’ve always thought these were cool tractors. They look a lot like Sears Suburbans or a Bolens.
oldtractorsandfarming yeah it did run pretty good! Yesterday it went to its new home with a friend of mine and I got a new project. It was just too big for my liking and I got it running so I've had my fun with it.
Luke Becker your best bet is to google up various JCPenney tractors to find more information. If yours has the model number still on it search that up. I know the tractor I used to own in this video was made by MTD back when they built unbreakable garden tractors
Nice! I see you had to call in a professional to get it running, maybe he can spend a couple more days there and get the rest up and running. haha! jk Wow that is a very cool tractor Mr. Danimal and I think dad approves of it lol
RooneysSears01 haha it was fun to get her going again after sitting 20 years but it sounds like I might have a deal with a friend and that will become his. Too big for the kind of space I have lol!

GM Trucks didn’t take me long to sell this, it was too big for my liking lol!
Love the set-up under the hood. At 55 years old, I don't remember JCP selling yard/garden equipment!?!? Very cool machine,...very good video!
Thank you! Yeah these JCPenney tractors are really uncommon, they used Simplicity tractors too at one point.
@@71_sears97 I have one. A Simplicity/ JC Penney 3413.
@@hudsonhawk0016 do you have a vidio of it
I like it and love the size of that fuel tank
wtbm123 thanks, good to have a plastic fuel tank right against the cylinder let alone a big one lol!

I have a 1978 jcpenney garden tractor its a different model than yours but would you know where I could find some information on it?

@@71_sears97 ok thanks
@@71_sears97 would you know what color of paint is like the original?
Luke Becker I don’t, I sold this tractor not long after I got it. Maybe had it a month or two at most
