      Another point in favor of Rauru (OoT) being Hyrulean royalty: the stained glass windows of the sages in WW have the crest of each sage's race or clan. Rauru's window has the crest of the Hyrulean royal family~!

    In tears of the kingdom that Ganons actual character profile says he existed at the time of hyrules founding, which was by the zonai, where in the original timeline the descendants of hylia founded hyrule and Ganon wasn’t in the picture yet, until ocarina of time. It’s best to look at this game and imagine that the fallen hero timeline where oot link loses for no reason has been erased and all of those Zelda games that continue after the hero fell, instead are after the Zonai founded hyrule after the events of skyward sword, so skyward sword has a timeline split now.

  • @IsaiahSalvagno

    Even tho they reference a lot of other titles after the fact.or all the hero tunics that can be found in the depths. Or abunch if things that shows there hyrule history is a bit different from what we previously knew about.
    It’s not that the other games didn’t happen there’s a theory that the three timelines converged and there are reasons for this aswell. But now there history is like a mash up of all past events. So those games still happened as we play through them then the timeline converges and now the hyrule history is a mash up of them all. We as the players know this but the in game characters just remember one version of there past.

    Great theory.
    But wouldn't it be simpler if Rauru was "reincarnated" kinda like Impa and Beedle etc, I mean it is 400 years later, so Hylian Rauru can still have been dead of a long time by Oot. And the Hylian royal family are Zonai Rauru's his direct descendants.

    So hundreds of years before OoT? If so, then how is Ganon able to exist during OoT? He died at the end of TotK. If he is the same Ganon then it makes no sense.

    • @meerkatolive
      @meerkatolive Год назад +1

      I'm not too sure. I've seen some people say that maybe the triforce are like the secret stones, so perhaps the three dragons we see in botw could have eaten them? I personally think that since it's so far in the future that the triforce is still there but has now been forgotten. I reckon Nintendo are taking a break from using it in games so I'm pretty certain the next game will have it. I hope

    The canoncity of several items existing within the game, such as the Goddess Sword, due to them being behind several long questlines kinda puts a nail in this. As well as the absence of the Triforce, and the lack of several objects of power that would necessarily exist. Where's the evidence of the Flood? Where's the remains of the Twilight Realm? There's just so many things that don't add up. Especially the Dragons that are name references of the Three Goddesses. They're explicitly stated to be spirits by the Spring of Power/Wisdom/Courage Goddess statues, which we have no reason to disbelieve. WE also have no evidence of Hylia as a worshipped existence. We only have references to "The Mother Goddess".
    There's a lot of similarities but there's not enough evidence to really link the BotW/TotK games to the timeline. Especially because there's previous stuff that just, doesn't show up that absolutely should.

    The one thing that breaks all these theories is the existence of a Rito sage in Rauru's time.

    • @meerkatolive
      @meerkatolive Год назад +1

      I was gonna bring this up in the video but i completely forgot to write it in the script. In twilight Princess, just outside hyrule Castle on the walls, there is a wall that depicts figures who look like rito. Twilight princess is a child timeline game so it should be impossible for them to appear on the walls based on what we understand from windwaker. So what we can assume is that the rito could have existed before ocarina of time. Of course they don't show up in that game because they weren't actually a thing yet but it doesn't mean to say that they weren't retconned into existing during that time. The rito could have evolved from the Zora at a much earlier point than what we initially assumed. This sort of thing has kinda happened before like with the Bokoblins. They show up in skyward sword, then disappear until windwaker/TP. They existed in the time of OOT but were just not shown.
      But that's a lot of assumptions and speculations so it's equally likely that the memories are after every game in the timeline. I will be making a video on that position in the timeline due to a few other things that don't make sense with the placement

    • @dtimetyp7062
      @dtimetyp7062 Год назад

      @@meerkatolive i thought about the rito as well. here is my stance:
      the rito are living in a very secluded place, far away from the other races across a giant canyon. they are so far away from the others, that they dont interact much with the hylians until botw. tabantha isnt even on any map from previous games (except maybe snowpeak from twilight princess). so us not seeing them during the older games is the same reason we dont see people from hytopia ever. they live in a far away place.
      but how do the rito from windwaker play into this? well, they still evolved from the zora. just because rito already exist, doesnt mean that others cant evolve into them aswell, espacially since the evolution in windwaker is more on the magic side. it could also just be that the rito and zora became one race. maybe both suffered many loses of their people, so they merged, to ensure survival and not die out.

    The wind tribe from Minish cap are more likely to be than the Zonai to have built the city in the sky in Twilight princess because the use of propellers in keeping the city in the sky, the Zonai didn't founded the first Hyrule we know this because of evidence and that evidence is Gerudo peoples ears being round in Ocarina of time but in Totk past they are pointy, interviews from Nintendo and the seal on Ganondorf in Totk past if the past is before Minish cap Totk Ganondorf would have escaped before Alttp, WW and Four sword adventures because the seal require that the castle not be damage in any way, the first temple of time is built in the Lanayru desert and the second temple of time is built where the temple of time is in Ocarina of time and is older than the Zonai race, sage Rauru and king Rauru aren´t the same person we know this because sage Rauru sealed him self in the temple of light which lies in the center of the Sacred realm only his spirit in the form of Kaepora Gaebora could leave, the first founding of Hyrule is by the Descendant of Skyward sword Zelda, the second temple of time is the birthplace of the first Hyrule, koume and kotake have three different appearance in the Zelda timeline Ocarina of time, Oracle of Ages/Season and Totk past and non of them are the same koume and kotake.

    The logical problem here is that these explanations are convoluted and full of special pleading. For every inconsistency, there is an excuse that is perfectly designed to wave away that specific complaint.
    The artistic problem with it is this: if Ganondorf can still attack Hyrule while he's sealed under the castle, and if Rauru can still act as a spirit guide for the Hero of Time hundreds of years later, then doesn't that lessen the Rauru's sacrifice? His sacrifice is lessened, and the reward for it is also lessened because Ganondorf wasn't stopped in any meaningful way. His sacrifice is lessened by so. much that it becomes almost meaningless.
    I think Nintendo threw out the timeline and have been developing in a new continuity. I'm pretty sure Skyward Sword happened in this continuity (probably), but all bets are off.

    • @KittysCat-j7x
      @KittysCat-j7x Год назад

      This line of highly motivated reasoning also leads to some even wackier theories, such as the Triforce "dragon break" with Zelda having the Triforce inside herself without realizing it, which somehow forces timelines to converge with each other, because abera cadabra.
