Baldur is blessed with invulnerability to all threats, physical or magical
Underrated!
Hah god of war I like it
You already said that
Solitary Did I?
Execpt that one plant thing
That sequence at 6:34 sends shivers down my spine "Let it flow" "From the life-tree we go, to the life-tree we shall one day return" "Loki! least of all"...brilliant
Have you watched the secret ending? If that sequence seems epic now, wait till you see the secret ending as well. (Secret ending appears once you complete all animus anomalies)
My game glitched where I was just looking at the trimming on the ceiling during most of the cutscene… sucked!
@@CampbellYoungblood same!!! haha
@@CampbellYoungblood same
Would like nothing more than to completely erase that sequence from my memory just so I can relive it again. The idea of being given a vision of your final moments of life and seeing everything burn down… that’s pretty fucking eerie to think about. I wonder what I would see if it was my last moments of life.
The people saying this has no relation to AC. Think of these as Isu, and ragnarok being the obvious solar flare wiping them out. Think of the implications. This is just the manner in which Eivor understands her visions.
There's a secret isu ending.
The game is connected if you play the entire game you find it out
If people say this doesnt have any relation to AC they’re playing with their eyes closed, we legit saw minerva, Jupiter, Juno, and Ezio in Jotun, these might all just be Eivors interpretation but there is partial truth in them SPOILER
with his memories as odin
But if we’re talking about the whole game, you’d have to be blind and deaf to say it doesn’t connect to AC
@@ahmedsachwani2868 that's what I'm saying.
Tyr getting his arm severed felt... underwhelmingly executed.
That was so... lame
I mean, in the original myths its not super climactic either. The gods get Fenrir to put the chain on himself to see if he could break it, Tyr puts his arm in Fenrirs mouth as a guarantee that Odin will unbind him if he cannot break it, once it becomes clear that the gods will not unbind him, he just tells Fenrir to "do it."
Because that's how it literally went
“Take my arm if my words are untrue”
“Wait unbind him he’s taking my arm!”
@@willm678 He really trusted Odin :( foolish Tyr
havi be like: "why do i hear boss music"
KRATOS: hmm
"Return my grandson back to me or you will see the God I once was."
For those scumbag saying "IT'S NOT ASSASSINS CREED ANYMORE LOL"
-This sequence is a vision of Eivor about what happened during Ragnarok.
-When you finished the game and a special quest you unlocked a secret video (like in that Assassin's Creed 2 that you will love forever and "AFTER EZIO IT WAS BAD LOL")
-In this video you see the exact same stuff as this but you realised the Ragnarok was the day the first civilisation (with Juno, Minerva etc...) collapse.
The big revelation of the game is that Odin and Loki used Isu technology to live through many generations of humans, using them as Sages.
The big reveal is: Eivor is a sage of Odin ; Basim is a sage of Loki. The whole game is a strategy for Loki (using Basim) to discover who is Odin during Viking times, to kill him to revenge of Odin stopping his son Fenrir
so this game is exactly like Assassin's creed. It use our stories and ur mythology to tell stories about the war between assassins/templars and the Isu (first civlisation) pulling the strings.
And for those who didn't played the game
-bench are back
-hiding in crowd are back
-You can kill EVERY enemies in one hit by assassination (unlike Odyssey and origins).
So stop your "it's not AC anymore". The truth is you are still pissed after 9 years that you will never have Ezio again.
Even if you give 10000 arguments , this's still not assassn's creed game and has absolutely nothing to do with it except the name , it's more than clear it donesn't need any discuss .
I also add that the Order of The Ancients also pulling the strings in England. Forcing the Hidden ones to co-operate with Viking of Raven clan. In a nutshell, it's a similar common cause kind of thing from Black Flag.
@@annakm8238 "blablabla i cover my ears and my eyes , i want assassin's creed being back with ezio or altair, every game are trash now, i want assassin's creed to die blablabla"
@Brandon Carr well, this is something that is hard to fix when a series doesn't have definitive planned conclusion. Even tho I love this game, there is still many things that irks me and no matter how hard they try to extend it, it needs to end.
@@annakm8238 my dude how is the birth of the templars not important?

Same
Sammeeee
What/who was Baldur? I'm confused
People don't understand that the entire asgard arc is fake and the explanation is that Eivor would only understand the Isu from his own relegious belief. Asgard just another Isu city same as Atlantis in Odessey. They are just how our main character perceives them
I just realized: the scene where everyone’s drinking around Yggdrasil is supposed to be the same as the secret cutscene where the Isu upload their conscience during the flare, only shown as Norse magic here.
I wish we can actually fight in Ragnarok and not just see clips of memories
Same
This is true limitation of Ac series.
We are not actually doing anything but play with someone else's memory. SAD.
But their ragnarok wasn't a battle, was a solar flare.
Why fight a battle you are destined to lose no matter what ?
@just some guy Yes and no. If they died in battle or honorably they do were granted Valhalla, where they got to feast and fight day and night but in Norse mythology Ragnarok marks the end of the world of gods and men.
Well, glad to see I'm not the only person here because my game decided that a shot of the ceiling was more interesting than a vision of Ragnarok. I'm really enjoying this game and liked these arcs a lot, but the bugs and general lack of polish can be frustrating at times, even months after launch.
Same😅
Eivor (doesn’t matter whether female or male) is a reincarnation of Odin
Basim is a reincarnation of Loki
Sigurd is a reincarnation of Tyr
Dikastes of Atlantis=Aletheia=Angrboda
Angrboda is the wife of Loki/Basim and they have a son named Fenrir.
Loki was blamed because he had married a woman out of his own kind, that is why in the Asgard quest “The mistress of the Iron wood” we see that the skin color of Angrboda is different from Loki. This implies that Angrboda/Aletheia is not the same specie as Loki.
We already know that Aletheia is an ISU. It is unclear what Loki is. Since their species are different, their child is not similar to Loki or Aletheia with respect to species. That is why in Norse mythology terms, their child is shown as a wolf. Loki is shown as a humanoid figure and Aletheia is shown as a blue skinned giantess.
Now let’s have a look at Odin, Odin=Mad One=Havi
Odin knows that he is gonna die so he is searching for a way to seek immortality. Aletheia and Loki know the method but refuse to help Odin because Odin has imprisoned their son Fenrir.
During the Mistress of the Iron wood quest, Odin also meets Hyrrokkin. Hyrrokkin is seen while talking to Angrboda/Aletheia.
Hyrrokkin teaches Odin how to guarantee his immortality. Hyrrokkin’s appearance is similar to Angrboda and that means they are both ISU.
In fact, Hyrrokkin is the Norse name for Juno. And She also wants to use the technique for achieving immortality so she could help her husband Aita. Aita is also an ISU and a scientist.
When Odin uses the method for seeking immortality, he sacrifices his eye, and then he ask Hyrrokkin/Juno about what her sacrifice is. And Hyrrokkin explains that her sacrifice is her freedom because the two people who she one ruled with (Basically Minerva=Athena and Jupiter) will haunt her because using the technique to achieve immortality is a crime for them.
The other name of Minerva and Jupiter is (Suttungr and Gunlodr)
So basically the three ruling ISU people (Hyrrokkin, Suttungr and Gunlodr) are called (Juno, Jupiter and Minerva) in Norse language and idealogy. The triad are also referred to as (Father, Mother and The sacred voice.
and also Halfdan ragnarsson is thor
So whats next?
"I will find you Mad One, on the far side of our doom."
3:34 why is the sword clipping through the shield? Come on ubisoft.

@@sirsmokesalot2939 Yes, is exactly what i'm saying. Before, Ubisoft used to make great games with great stories and most of all it was interesting and it made you feel something.
Just because this game has vikings (and btw it's called Assassin's Creed) and 70 hours of gameplay, it doesn't mean it's great.
Games like AC2, brotherhood, revelations or AC4 had an amazing story and didn't need much else than that. Now i don't know what are they trying to do. If you like the game well it's fine, that's your opinion. Mine still is that they just stopped trying... and it's a bit obvious at this point
@@tai2664 have you even bought the game ? The story of this Assassin’s creed is one of the best stories in all AC games .The combat are goods, the animations are good, the parkour is good, the RPG in this game has been well done .The only negative point one this game is the engine used for the graphics, the graphics are quit good but not enough for a 2020 game that is even optimized for the Next Gen console .The game has a good review as well

For a moment I thought that was Baldur in the thumbnail, lol.
Idk if it’s just me but a viking being a assassin is weird to me
Its not weird , the hidden ones is almost like a mentality or way of thinking , people from different backgrounds Working towards a single goal . In Valhalla At the beginning eivor is introduced to The assassins from Constantinople and works with them to gain Pacification in England so it makes sense
@@corupptedkev6032 well that is simply his opinion bro
It's not weird. If that's weird, then a pirate being an assassin is
not really since the Assassin's Order (The Hidden Ones) have existed since Ptolemy/Cleopatra's time and has since then spread throughout the world integrated into various cultures throughout time. With both Alexios/Kassandra & Darius being the Proto-Assassin's and Bayek/Amunet being the founders in Ancient Egypt, over the course of a thousand years their influence would spread across the world, so it wouldn't surprise me if it made its way to the Vikings of Norway at one point or another.
Spoiler: Eivor doesnt become an assassin, he is gifted the hidden blade, wears it wrong, and when asked to join he refuses.
I'm not saying this Is bad, but Assassin's Creed has become something else. This and odyssey are too different from the original concept. Assassins fighting templars are still present but it's a subplot and not One of the main themes. Parkour Is not one of the main aspects anymore, the same with stealth which is optional. I can say the same with parkour. All I see now is a demigod main character going around with a flaming blade killing both humans and gods alike. Again, this Is not bad in my opinion, but I feel like Assassin's Creed's Just an influence in these new games, alongside Skirim, the Witcher and God of war.

Even forgetting the AC stuff
Even as a viking action RPG, the sound effects are underwhelming, ambience feels missing along with SOME of the voice acting, and especislly with the lack of music
Where did the music budget go? To another fucking ezio theme remix? No Assassin has his or her own theme anymore. Just Ezio
i'm sorry but you're just plain wrong about the music. out of all the things that had the most effort put into it
@@mogul188 Well good news on that department but is it action music or is there good ambience? I refer to those scenes where tension rises and its all dramatic but theres a huge lack in music
It makes it awkward along with the lack of sound effects. Its absolutely different from what Ubisoft games are where they have good mixing of vocals, sound effects, and music.
The music for when Ragnarok was happening was good, i'll admit that but that is one example.
The one i'm not listening to is the new Ezio theme because I feel un-originality in that and it irritates me to my god damn soul that the actual character theme only plays for a few seconds before Ezio's theme blasts. It ruined Bayek's theme for me which is one of the best i've heard
@@CrystallizedBlackSkull well when eivor fights odin and runs to his family that music is amazing , the ambient soundtrack is great and combat music is decent I guess
@@mogul188 I'm guessing the combat system is the one that makes fighting the meat of it and not the music. I heard that the combat is good in this game (fuckin' finally) and that its a step above the downgrade that is Oddessy.
As far as i've heard the game is "Good" but I haven't really seen somebody review this game as an AC game, comparing it to older titles in mechanics, story, sound, and the motherfucking soul
Yeah there's a lack in ambient music. A lot of the time, I'm exploring and only hearing the sound of horse steps and the "Ting" when you aggro someone. the sound quality overall is ass, I could easily make Skyrim sound better.
And they call this assassins creed....... Wtf man feels bad

This is optionnal but this sequence is very important and a HUGE part of the assassin's creed lore.
Everything you see here are events of the first civilisation but Eivor see it as a Norse mythology.
They did this the wrong way around. Fenrir was the one to say to the gods that one of them should put their arm in their mouth out of trust. Fenrir had already been chained up twice and broke free. Odin went to the dwarfs and made that ribbon. Fenrir didn't trust that it was a measurement of his strength so he made a deal. One of the gods should put their arm in his mouth if they are indeed telling the truth. Tyr was the only god to offer his arm. When Fenrir was chained and could not break free, he bit off Tyr's arm.
Also, was it just me or did Fenrir seems stupidly small. He's meant to be larger than the mountains at that point. And Odin is meant to jam his mouth open with a sword to stop him from chewing his way through his bonds. With his mouth jammed open, his saliva created a river called Ván, which in nordic languages means "Hope"
Things have been changed for this game, all the more reason to wait GOW Ragnarok.
Sounds like you've been reading neil gaiman lol
Which fictional depiction of myth was close to accurate lol
Even history isn't presented accurately in fictional productions
@@rsoleighton5608 Not all people interested in Norse Mythology got introduced to it by Gaiman - or least, I hope so.
Personally, I'm very glad his Norse Mythology wasn't the first take I read on it, and I am ashamed to admit I trusted the reviews so far as to give it a try - because this stinking pile of bullshit that calls itself a book is possibly the worst thing I've ever read in my entire life.
First off, he completely botched the characterization of the gods. Thor is only ever portrayed as a short-tempered asshole with an IQ below 5, completely ignoring his more positive qualities as the protector of men and most likely a good and trusted friend. Loki seamlessly goes from spiteful mischief-maker that gets blamed for everything, even if it isn't suggested in the original sources (there is no hint that Loki talked the Aesir into accepting the offer of the builder; from what we know, they could've agreed to it of their own accord), to murderous sadist that wants all humanity destroyed, for whatever reason. And Odin, the main god of the Norse pantheon, is a weak fucking wimp that does virtually nothing and even gets robbed of one of his myths (I was stark raving mad when he got replaced with Thor in Iduna's Apples), missing the implied relationship between him, Hoenir and Loki altogether.
The myths are generally poorly represented (the convincing of Gerda probably got cut because it was "offensive" to women), and Gaiman just invented plot points that were never there and have no reason to be (it was him who first introduced the idea that Odin offered Fenrir freedom if he could break Gleipnir, since that never gets mentioned anywhere else to my knowledge). Then again, he avoids many important stories altogether, because of "lack of material needed for authentic representation", or just mashes two versions together in a way that's unfitting and contradictory (Theft of Brisingamen). Sometimes, he even straight up declares theories people more experienced with Norse mythology have devised for false (the possible affair between Sif and Loki). Also, he doesn't seem to have any real sense for some of the more subtle details (since the name of Loki's mother is quite unusual for a giantess, it's believed she may have been a goddess) or just the right feeling for this mythological setting to bring it to life (Brok and Sindri wanted to make a "machine" out of Loki's severed head - around 800 A.D. or so).
However, all of this would perhaps be a bit less grating if the writing was alright - but alas, it isn't. The dialogue is easily the most wooden and uninspired I've ever seen in a top-selling book ("Freya, I need your falcon cloak." "It's invaluable, I can't give it to you." "Thor's hammer is gone." "Okay, here you go."), and the descriptions are either so repetitive that it makes you think the book was written either for toddlers or people with amnesia, or so over the top and useless that it seems like he tried a bit too hard to impress his readers with "spectacle".
All in all, this book has no reason to even exist. It's an uninspired take on old subject at best, and the uncoordinated work of a mythology fanboy who can't write fanfiction at worst. I'm dead serious when I say I could link you a Norse mythology fic that is better than anything you'll ever find in that book. Raw emotion beautifully packed into less than 3.000 words, and completely free - quite the contrary to the horrible, overpriced, two hundred page long mess Gaiman has graced us with.
This ending and the secret ending are awesome to watch on sequence.
