    Also bro can u let me know how to take care of injectors and turbo in diesel cars for their long life ?

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  3 года назад +2

      Yup bro for turbo, proper oil change is the main key and Wait for 10 secs on the morning starts for proper lubrication.
      For injectors, dont drag the engine at lower rpms. keep between 1400 to 2500 rpm. Dragging at low rpms also affect the turbo as well. Make sure to use good fuel without contaminants. Don't idle the car for too long. While on high way cruising, accelerate heavily at certain intervals for peak fuel injection. Idling and cruising for long can make egr stuck open for long and the carbon dust from egr, when compression, gets onto injector nozzle and weld up there causing nozzle blocks. As a driver these could be followed.

    • @BibinMAbraham
      @BibinMAbraham 3 года назад

      @@dailyhandsdiy is it true that once in while cruising over 3000 rpm continuously will help the injectors to get cleaned on its own . I'm referring to a TDCi ford fiesta here.?

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  3 года назад

      Yes it do clean itself but cruising for long especially, even at higher rpms like i said carbon welds to cylinder and injectors because of egr stuck open. Intermittent flooring is good to clean them as egr shuts close and starts peak injection rate.

    • @BibinMAbraham
      @BibinMAbraham 3 года назад +1

      @@dailyhandsdiy Correct me if I'm wrong, The EGR will be shut once the speed is above 60 or 70 right? Cruising continuously on a 6lane road above 100kmph will keep the EGR shut till the car slows down if my understanding is correct?
      And by peak injection rate did you mean that the fuel injectors will be wide open so that the deposits on the tips of the injectors might get burned and escaped via exhaust?

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  3 года назад +1

      Actually egr funtions according to the engine load calculations. It doesn't matter where the speed is or rpm is. Some cars with sports mode shuts it down after some rpm for peak performance but in passenger cars tuning is different. while accelerating engine load calculations will be high so it shuts off for that pickup and athe time you idles or start cruising, engine load drops so egr opens. ie the car need much power to maintain that speed thats ol.
      And yes injectors will get wide open.

    Same engine. Black smoke comes on sudden hard acceleration. No smoke comes otherwise. White smoke coming from oil cap and dip stick. Consumes 1lt oil for 2000km. Is it turbo problem or engine blow-by issue?

    • @dailyhandsdiy

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  3 года назад

      Bro dont do that, you could end up replacing the engine. First it can clean up the turbo turbine and the pipes but it can loosen all the carbon sludge (from egr) inside intake manifold and can junk up inside the valves chalking the engine. Next the cleaner will raise the combustion temp (volatile fluids) and cause piston head or ring melting. Next it wont clean the egr even if it cleans a bit all of the losen carbon goes to intake making it more sludgy. Overall i personally dont think its a good idea.

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  3 года назад +1

      If you add engie flush, first place it would go is the turbo. It could clean the oil paths but, if the engine has high mileage on it, some sludge on the oil lines can be carried by the flush to turbo feed and can cause blocks. If its a new engine run less than 25k kms then Flushing wont harm any thing. Or should be flushed at every 20k 25k kms from the time you bought the car.

      it actually depends on the make, like ford,toyota,volvo,bmw all these has normal high consumption but for fiat,suzuki, chevrolet etc using a seperate oil seperator consumes less oil compared to the beforesaid. For ford normaly till 300 or even 500 is normal for like 6000 to 7000 kms. 1 ltr or above for 5000 is considered high consumption and for fiat or suzuki upto 500or 600 ml is safe till 10k kms above that is considered high consumption. One thing to be noted, it also depends on the quality and vapourising character of the oil too.

      One thing tobe noted is while you opened the compressor side to check, pressure on that side will be low as its open to atmosphere and turbine side will be high, so its obvious to leak a bit of oil to compression side. That will be gone after fittings amd pressure on both sides equalise. check the oil level regularly after assembling and see if its going down.

      Hi there, I don't see a problem on intercooler but the big turbo? these engines can handle more psi of power peak but the injectors, firing quantities, oring on manifold areas etc has to be reshaped to handle more power. Or might end up blowing your engine.

      Bro its not because of stiffness, unlike other brands ford's suspension is designed for European roads which are smooth roads. ie the rubber padding given on the suspension mount is thin or lets say even no pad at all. Indian cars have thick padding or rubber mountings so to absorb those harsh behavior of roads. Can't do much bro, its what its designed as.

      Only thing i hav seen is to give larger side wall to the tyres. As the stock size is 175 65 14, give 185 70 14. It will absorb most of the roughness and increase ride height as well.

      First have to check if the turbo turbine shaft has a normal play. Next should clean the turbo outlet pipe, reconnect the parts and run thr enginr for few kms. Dismantle the pipes again and check for excesd oil pushing from turbo. White smoke can ne off rich fuel condition which can also caused by egr, injectors, air leaks, compression loss, dirty air intake sensors etc...so should check that properly.

Also open the oil cap and leave it there, rev the car to 2500 rpm nd check if blows away the cap or stays there. If the ppr and cap stays in place there's no significant bc.
