I think both riders did what they were supposed to do, and that is to push their limits and I think if the places were swapped then probably rossi would've also done what Marquez did in that chicane. But the person who had the best presence of mind at that moment won the race and that is ROSSI. Nothing against Marquez. Both are talented riders but Rossi has experience which helped him win that race. Just my thought.

The 2nd part of the champ, if marquez doesnt exist, viñales and quartararo would dominated the game. Yamaha have less power its true, but not every circuit need that extra km/h, just look the qualifying laps, quartararo always on top. So its a champ bike righ now. Ducati has been the best bike for the last years, but they have dovi and petruci who are just regular riders, if you put someone very good in their spots, marquez would be in troubles. Marquez has been in honda for 7 yrs, and he will leave when he passes agostini number of titles (moto gp only, i guess), then he would think about winning with other bike. Rossi doesnt demonstrate nothing, he went to Yamaha because of the money, and he took all his team with him to Yamaha, so that story that rossi went from a champ bike to a garbage bike, isnt true. He knows what is likely to happen and he has already worked out a strategy to deal with it. Others have come up against this in the past, including Max Biaggi, Sete Gibbenau, Casey Stoner (who I am still a big fan of), and Jorge, and they've all learned the same thing. You need to get up very early and eat ALL your wheatbix if you want to beat the Doctor. Not only is he fast, he thinks. He has already worked out what he's going to do. You are making it up as you go along, but he is playing to the script he wrote. He's not always entirely nice and he's not always entirely fair, but the case that he has a claim to be the GOAT is getting better and stronger all the time.

This was one occasion where marquez crashed into ROSSI and luckily ROSSI still won. There were many other occasions where marquez just had poor sportsmanship crashing into Rossi and things didn't turn out as well.

No-one see mm holds the race line...? He deliberately hit him to go off track. He did this against stoner on the corkscrew. He is very calculated and deliberate. The reason very clean riders like Dovi, stoner, Pedrosa, Lorenzo pushed very hard towards him due to his win at all tactics. I get very annoyed when he complains about mm saying he ruined the sport when Rossi was the first to take racing at a new level of push cornering.
How many times has Marquez bumped into Rossi this season? Assen was not the first, that's for sure. In the words of Casey Stoner, "It's not a contact sport."
In their situation if you bump a bit through turns and such its fine. They are pulling some hard and tight maneuvers but when you try to force contact to gain position then yes it is wrong. My feeling is Marquez is still better about his wreck after knocking Rossi's tire a few races back.
