Bonne réaction guys. Interesting thoughts. A call for actions yes. On many things. Other blood than mine can refer to people eating meat and its correlated to the environment as well since all this industry for meat creates a lot of c02. Its cool that people can interpret the song in their own way. Cool message in the Chorus. This song with the video is a nice work of art.
If you want to watch them performing live and see how awesome drummer is Mario, then I can recommend "Gift of guilt" live in Brixton. It delivers, oh yeah :)
Alena is so beautiful 😍😍😍
Thanks! :)
Please look into Spiritbox. PLEASE! lol you will not regret it! Blessed Be, Rule of Nines, Belcarra, Mara Effect, Trust Fall, Perennial, the list goes on!
You could react to some Opeth one day, a great blend of heavy and beautiful music :)
@@BradAlenaMetalReactions Great :) Can't wait ! Are you familiar with them ? They have a ton of great and amazing songs, it might be hard to choose haha :P
@@BradAlenaMetalReactions Their discography is pretty vast, the first albums were progressive death metal, while the last 4 are purely prog without the death metal elements. I don't think you can «get» what Opeth sound is with only one or two songs. They have some songs that are purely acoustic and smooth, while others are very heavy and some are a mix of both sides.
I would recommend: Bleak, Harlequin Forest or the Lotus Eater for a good balance of heavy and light elements.
If you want the softer side I would go with: Windowpane, Burden, Mynnets Yta or Harvest
If you want the heavy stuff: Blackwater Park, Heir Apparent, The Lepper Affinity are great choices (among many others)
There are a lot of live versions on youtube, but I think it's best to start with the studio version first. Also, fun fact, Opeth are a major influence for the band Jinjer, the bass player said they were his favorite band :) Sorry for the wall of text haha.
I’m sorry man but is opeth a Heavy band NO Gojira isn’t a heavy band as well
@@benluna6158 I know they are not the heaviest band out there but as far as I know it is not a contest of who's the heaviest. For a vast majority of people, Opeth death metal side and Gojira are heavy. Anyway, it is not really important in the end. I listen to music because it make me feel something, not because it is heavy. I think these bands are good for people who look for a middle ground between intensity, melody, composition and emotions.
There is one thing I would say and I know it is over the top but I went to Knotfest and I am being 100% honest Gojira was the worst sounding band there then Slipknot then Volbeat then Behemoth so worst sounding band is Gojira and best was Behemoth
Dead bodies falling from the sky means (i think) that birds die cuz of the smog aka bad air pollution
Alena's Insta?
It's not easy to put yourself in the writer's mind to fully understand the lyrics. As other comments stated, Joe is vegan. That explain some lines but his vision is utopic, too optimistic. "Change yourself and you will change the world" doesn't work in our egoistic world unfortunately, or too slowly and we don't have enough time left about global warming. The covid19 crisis is a "good" example, indirectly link to global capitalism. Governments had to take coercitive measures on a global scale to get some results otherwise it's pointless. If you're counting on your neighbors (and billionaires) to change their behaviors like you did, you have time to die with millions other people. Because of the past generations, we have to make huge sacrifices now in order to "save the planet" but that won't happen until it's too late.
I'm not a big fan of Gojira since "from mars to sirius", which disappointed me a lot, but I'm happy for them about their success. I suggest "of blood and salt" because of my guitar god Fredrik Thordendal on it.
@@BradAlenaMetalReactions Sure. Strapping Young Lad was great but I didn't have time to dig more into his whole universe. Reaction channels are good for that, I "force" myself to keep in touch with some bands I will not listen. Devin is talented and everybody seems to like what he's doing.
