Happy to hear about the shorter scale on the Billy Strings Martins. As a woman who has been playing 50+ years, I just recently got a short scale guitar. I said “duh!” When I started picking on it. My fingers are so much shorter than an average guy’s. Suffice it to say it is a joy to play on an instrument that is the right size. I wonder how much of an issue this is for other women. Short scale is a game changer.
I like that Martin added a double neck to the lineup & that like my 1980 Alvarez-Yairi DY-87 double neck comes in the case that resembles lugging around a Fender Rhodes 88!
I'd love to see a video or two on boutique builders! My local shop up here in the PNW carries a handful of Collings, Santa Cruz, Froggy Bottom, etc., but it would be nice to hear from y'all what differentiates these builders from each other and other companies. There just aren't as many videos about them online. As for crazy NAMM reveals, that Verso Sine was a head turner for sure.
In my opinion! If you got a guitar recently and still can return it, haven’t bonded with it, and maybe are wondering which is better. I’d go to a store and play one of the new ones. And the difference in price should only be one or two hundred. If Martin claims that what they did to the guitar is an improvement, then return the old and get the new ones. They themselves claim it’s a better product.
Not that I’ll ever be able to afford one, but looking forward to the bigger Taylor 12s. The guitar that made me fall in love with Taylor is my late father’s 356ce that I now own because that is an amazing guitar and it always bummed me out that they only had the GC in the US line
Seems implausible that Fender could brainstorm, plan, and arrange Indonesian construction of an entire new line of Fender Strats, Teles, and Basses all since the November election or even over the last 6-8 months before the pre election polls even suggested Trump would win. Plus, just because Trump has threatened tariffs doesn’t automatically mean they’ll actually be implemented. Tariffs are a tool far too many past President’s never bothered to make use of to get more fair and equal trade agreements, or for other political influence. China can’t really afford to absorb all of the tariffs that we could place on Chinese imports without it causing major damage to their economy. If tariffs on Chinese goods made them so expensive that they wouldn’t sell in the US just what other country(s) around the world are going to be able to absorb/buy all those goods that they could no longer sell in US if we place high tariffs on them? Chinese factories and businesses would shrink and or go under. Ditto for Mexico-all Trump has to do is threaten high tariffs (50%) on all money wire transfers from US fo Mexico and the Mexican govt will be dancing any way we want as it would directly cut billions of dollars off the income of Mexico. It’s called democracy playing hardball. Europe and Canada, Mexico, Japan, and especially China place high tariffs on certain US imports-why should we not do the same to them to force better trade negotiations. How many Mercedes or BMWs do you think would sell in US if we added a 30% tariff onto their retail price-where would BMW and Mercedes sell their stock if US sales plummeted due to higher sales price from tariffs-better deal for them if they reduce or eliminate tariffs on certain US imports to keep their autos affordable in US. Wait to ses what happens if Trump gets his corporate income tax rates cut on US based factories-you will see another surge of US companies building manufacturing facilities here rather than overseas.
A slightly different format would've been nice, as you's are in America and Namm is in America. There are RUclipsrs from Europe doing videos from there after all.... 👀

Can we assume the new Fender Standard series is a preemptive response to the proposed 25% Mexico tariffs?

video editing on this one is too good
Wow!
In 96, i was 36😲
The guys at Anderton’s already spilled the beans on the Indonesian Fender Standards 😂
How did I know that the very first company you would talk about would be Taylor.
No mention of the 00L-Oliver...what the hell
I *just* bought the 000-28 Cooper is holding this morning. I'm glad that I got to it before the video dropped. My salesperson, David, was amazing.
Haha, I knew you two were on AGF. Every youtube into acoustic guitars is there hiding behind handles
To much chat and not enough sound of guitars as to give us ideas on what guitar to purchase
Yeah…New from FURCH?
Amazingly Gibson was not at NAMM
Fender needs to start making better acoustic guitars ! Don’t know why they quit.
Yeah but, Taylor isn't at NAMM so I am gone
