Holy flipping moly. Get you two, serious top quality film makers now. I'm blown away by how good that vid was. Almost made this old bugger get a bit of dust in me eye at one point. So very proud of what you guys have achieved. I hope you are not putting too much pressure on yourselves as I know making content of this quality is a crazy amount of blood, sweat and tears. Yay Matt and Holly, Yay Geoff and Chris, Yay Elsie. Bloody legends.
We enjoy putting the effort in :) it’s really satisfying seeing a plan come together and creating something people enjoy. Cheers for the continued support :)
Nailed it. Life is beautiful when you realise the opportunity we have. You highlighted the the remoteness, stunning environment and ambience with superb photography and editing. Makes you forget that when you do these trips, the mundane exists!
omg this is your best short film by far ,your work behind the camera is getting better ,just love the flinders and you guys make it look so good thank you please keep up the great work.
This is really another world. Thanks for the quiet sound of the video. It has a breathtaking asthetic and the footage is getting more and more professional with its own beauty. Cheers from Central Europe!
Faultless production guys. That star shot with the satellites passing was next level. Channel 10 will be buying this from for sure. And as always, thank you for sharing 🙏🙏
@@andrewcarpenter8185 thanks for the kind words mate. Glad you liked the way we featured products, I thought if people are really interested they can click the links and check out more info on them.
This is your best work yet guys, something to be really proud of. I wish I could have watched it instead cinema as I feel it would have been absolutely fantastic. Great editing, great videography, great audio, great story. Really top notch work, congrats :)
I really enjoyed this video. Great editing. The music was spot on. Subtle where it needed to be and upbeat at times that suited the footage spot on. Great choice in the troopy, definitely not a mistake. Cheers 🍻
After coming back from the Flinders last easter (2019), I now want to get back there. Great vid, you have excelled in this one. I don't think it was a mistake, its a bloody great car..
I watched one of your very first lap videos the other day to show a friend where you had been. Then you out this out! The amount you two have grown with your video skills is insane. This should be on tv's! You guys are amazing
Great to see you guys back, definitely a change in video style, please don't loose the rawness that's Matt & Holly driving around Big Oz with Elsie :-) keep it up. #livingthedream
Absolutely next level production! Thanks for showing us this beautiful part of the country. Appreciate the effort thats gone into this, cant wait for more.
"I don't have an awning" truth is you don't need one..it is not raining and the sun is not beating down. It's evening. Good to see you out and about in the Troopy. Great bit of filming,,,if you ever want to see Africa (Aus times 10 with elephants, lions etc) give us a shout. Loved watching the build!!!! Cheers Guys.
Amazing work again guys. Sitting here watching, dreaming of getting away on our next adventure. As for Elsie, all I can say is welcome to building and owning an old car. I own two classic Fords, and my daily drive and touring rig is a 21 year old Land Rover Discovery. There have been countless moments of, "WTF am I doing with this car?", but in the end, after the hours of blood, sweat and tears working on the cars, the enjoyment they bring, far out weigh the moments you spend questioning your own morals and sanity. You guys have done really well with Elsie guys, keep up the grouse work.
The time lapse shot with the stars is incredible. Amazing planet we live on. I'm going to get a new solar battery, dust the old patrol off an hit the tracks,,,,spiders n all THANKS for your inspiration
I really hope to own an old FJ Troopy like you guys someday. I'm over in the states and its been a personal dream since I was a kid. Someday, hopefully.
Love the simplicity of your approach to camping and the low impact. Way to many gear-junkies just try to fight the land and run over it with their big rigs, they loose so much of the experience.
The Flinders is my favourite part of Australia, and I keep going back and finding more magic. Towards the end I thought you were signalling the end of your videos. Minor panic here. Look forward to your next one. Thanks.
Very polished piece! You've come a long way with your filming and editing. I love the cinematic direction you're taking it! Covid really sucks... but I cant wait to see your next travels.
I have watched two episodes of you without your J47 Cruiser and I was sad to see you in a J79 and I would like to know your thoughts on the different being the two vehicle. With the idea of camping full time.
We have lots of episodes in the old cruiser. Honestly for a full time travel vehicle the new one is better in every single way shape and form. The old one takes a lot of effort to travel in.
Do you have any plans to get back to Perth to show the transformed Troopy to Jeff and Chris? Like your channel. Just an old Aussie living in America for the last 45+ years. I'm living my bucket list through channels like yours. Keep up the great work.
Awesome video guys! Really well done, the music, the cinematography, really can appreciate the time and effort put in not only for editing but the shots your getting too. Awesome video guys! Keep up the solid work 🤙🏽
Great work guys. Quite different from your previous material. You are obviously working on your style and brand. I loved watching it. Can I suggest that you need to let Holly do more of the narrative though. She is more relaxed in front of the camera and, Matt , your lines are good but your execution needs more practice. In saying all of that though you are much much better than me. Thankyou for inspiring me to improve.
I feel like I just went on a road trip after watching that! Production was on point! Keen to see the snowys vid I'm planning to get my 40 out that way soon :)
No same cameras but we are shooting in different settings and a lot of work is done post shoot to bring the detail and colors out :) thanks for noticing though makes the extra effort worth it!
Mate she is not a mistake get that right out of your head she is beautiful ,my I suggest if you’s are going to do a lot of camping/four wheel driving with else on your own look at getting a whinch for her and you’s mate really enjoyed this it was bloody fantastic
Hey Matt, I noticed that you don’t glow the plugs, I had an 83 model hj47 and had to glow them for about 30 seconds, hang on to elsie mate as there’s not many left
Hey mate, I can’t remember the exact model, but it’s the middle size. Great for 2 people and boils water in no time, really good in wind as well. Much more convenient to set up for a quick tea or coffee on the side of the road than a burner :)
Well; fishing and crabbing or a long sleep in...... As much as I want the vid to interfere with the “Great Tannum Sands paddle off” I’m not sure I’ll make premiere 🥲 BUT it’ll be in the recovery party celebrations 👍 absolutely ---
Ah very nice video, are you guys moving away from the clog style more towards this style of videos (forgot the word how you describe this style)? Nice firepit and grip, I'll need to check it out.oiks like someone got a sponsor 👏
Keep them coming
Cheers mate we really enjoyed making this one.
this one of the greatest vids i have seen ,the chat about the resto hit me right in the feels
Same. Far out hey
Nicely done. Definitely NOT a mistake. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. LC is a fine touring vehicle.

Aghhh that wonderful clatter of the 2H motor in this environment, simply sublime. Love your work guys
Purrs like a kitten.
Tremendous work guys. Very enjoyable. I hope you had a great time. Like a professional doco!
Awesome video. You guys are a great couple you work so well together. On the 45, I think it's a great vehicle and an even better adventure.
What a fantastic production!, you guy have outdone yourselves, you should be very proud to be producing such high quality content.

Appreciate the kind words as always!
Wow!! Amazing video. I can see the effort you have both gone to to learn more to create better videos. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Also a great idea of having the products mentioned on the screen. Much better than talking about them heaps as others do at times.

Awesome place and awesome video. Best way to do it, living out the back of an old troopy!

I really enjoyed this video. Great editing. The music was spot on. Subtle where it needed to be and upbeat at times that suited the footage spot on. Great choice in the troopy, definitely not a mistake. Cheers 🍻

Great presentation Guys your best yet. Much better that a lot of stuff on free to air TV. Keep up the great work.
Glad you liked it!
Outstanding work guys
Next level editing mate. Cheers Steve
Yeah this is one of your best yet. In particular is the obvious time spent getting B roll, that cannot have been easy. Good stuff :)
Yeah it takes a bit of effort and back tracking but it’s good fun!
One of your best productions yet - good to see you guys back on (the) track!
Another terrific Video, very 'artfully' shot!
Thank you!
great episode guys. love the new rig
cheers
Love the simplicity of your approach to camping and the low impact. Way to many gear-junkies just try to fight the land and run over it with their big rigs, they loose so much of the experience.
What a stunning film. Outstanding work guys. Would love to see more of this format from you in future.
Good to hear because there will be more coming :)

Absolutely in love with your HJ troopy mate, dream car right there. Awesome watch nicely pieced together, some awesome landscapes through there👌

A bit of aurora in your night sky timelapse
Top quality production, well done guys. Great trip too, I love the Flinders Ranges!

Nice vid guys. Really cool stuff, keep it up.
Toured the Aussie outback in 2011. LIve in NZ but my heart belongs in the Aussie outback.
There is something about it that’s for sure
Great video, awesome editing and quality. Planing to take my HJ45 troopy there next year.

Aesthetically pleasing production, well done guys.

What a great episode! Thanks for sharing your adventures 👌👌👌
thanks for watching!
That was amazing guys 👍
Absolutely fantastic 👏 I cant wait until I can do that 😀
You’ll love it :)
It is never a mistake to buy an old cruiser. You just learn to love them and keep on fixing them.
What’s that cool tune between 5:30- 7:30! Awesome atmosphere there.❤️🍀
Else is a beautiful thing😍
Did you buy some new cameras, sharp and great colours. As usual, more drone. Nice work. Lol, c'mon Holly, get out in the cold for the sunrises.
No same cameras but we are shooting in different settings and a lot of work is done post shoot to bring the detail and colors out :) thanks for noticing though makes the extra effort worth it!
Can I ask why the count down ? Seen a few doing i just find it frustrating..I’ll still watch obviously 🙄✌️
this is just something a little different to our usual videos and we wanted to let people know its coming :) Hope you enjoy it!

I always glow when it’s cold. It’s fine once it’s been running for a bit :)
Edit is on point 🤙
Mate can’t wait specially with else in it
@6:59 where did you get the hanging cutlery set?
Hey mate it’s from navigator gear we really like it :)
sooo good guys 🙌🏼
Cheers legends!
What brand was that folding fire pit? Enjoyed the video, would like to hear a critique of the Troopy as an alternative to a modern vehicle.
Hey mate! It’s wolf and grizzly, there is a link for it in the description if you’re keen to check it out.
Hi Guys, What's the jetboil system you were using to boil your water? Are they any good and how much does it hold?
Hey mate, I can’t remember the exact model, but it’s the middle size. Great for 2 people and boils water in no time, really good in wind as well. Much more convenient to set up for a quick tea or coffee on the side of the road than a burner :)
Have you guys been taking lessons? Course your intro and more is fantastic....Steve 🇦🇺
Yeah we’ve been doing some study but more so taking the effort to put everything we have learnt over 2 years into practice.
Well; fishing and crabbing or a long sleep in...... As much as I want the vid to interfere with the “Great Tannum Sands paddle off” I’m not sure I’ll make premiere 🥲 BUT it’ll be in the recovery party celebrations 👍 absolutely ---
Don’t worry it will still be up for viewing later :)
Nice vid guys, a little sombre, but it reminds me how lucky we all are here in Australia compared to so many other countries.
