Late to the party after missing Necropolis and the very beginning of 3.25 leaguestart; it would not feel like a proper league start without another episode of the best PoE podcast out there! Keep it up!
Everyone talks about the currency exchange like the normal site isn't still going to get used for it as well between 10 trades at a time and gold limits. I feel like it will still be used a good bit.
We need a POB feature that allows us to register the timeless jewel search in a socket slot, instead of socketing the jewel itself - that way people get the same equivalent nodes than you programmed, but no one gets the same seed.
i think there will be currency traders in groups that just sit in discord and tell the party members what to list for how much and just look at the stats. since that way you dont need to worry about gold beeing to scarce
Since it costs all your sockets and it's supposed to be a big deal just give it one stat. "Maximum Life is doubled" Then make it Tier 0 since that's super broken lol
Re the discussion at 27:00: without having the statistics from individual players about how they spend their time, it's difficult to generalize what PoE players do during leagues. E.g., I tend to play at least 2 months into a league, but I play SSF-lite. I don't tend to play other ARPGs while playing a PoE league, but I do like to mix in other genres (e.g. roguelikes like Dead Cells/FTL, FPS' like Overwatch/Apex, and 1st person RPGs like Genshin Impact). Taking a break from the dark, grimey ARPG world is usually a good thing to avoid gloom in the long run =)
my hope for bouncing between PoE 1&2 is 4 month leagues for each game with staggered releases so we ge a new league for one game or the other every 2 months... more dev time on average for each league, but we still end up getting new stuff more frequently overall. (edit: i had paused to grab some refreshments and typed this out while it was fresh in my mind ... Balor said pretty much exactly this 2 whole seconds after resuming. lol GG)
I don't understand why GGG is so afraid of giving more ascendancy notables. They released the Cheiftan and Gladiator with only 8 options, then delete an option from Cheiftan. This just gives far fewer options, and is less exciting to when creating a build.
I disagree with Balor's take on visiting hideouts. Part of the reason I play trade is the humanist moment when you visit someone else's hideout and get a glimpse into their trading world. If I didn't want people to bother me with trades, I played SSF.
If PoE2 is better, then I don't think I'd come back for PoE seasons. I just wouldn't want to go to the "worse" game if that ends up being the case. I do play other games when I burn out of a season but I never play other ARPGs
Wrong statement "Expedition League, everybody hated it" Alot of us loved and enjoyed Expedition, In fact, it was and still is my best personal league... The league was not liked mostly by streamers simply because of the major nerf which was necessary and non-intellectuals who cant read even a few line.. The league everything... 4 new cool bosses, both in map and out of the map league mechanic, crafting, haggling, gambling..the lore is extremely rich, the details the dev have put into Expedition is massive.. Look at them Danni G and his bois still the big NPC now, even going into POE2. Many if not most content makers later said Expedition is one of their fav league once they fully understand how good and rich it is.
I agree with this take. I enjoyed Expedition because I was still fresh to the 3.0 series of patches. I think build creators managed to push the narrative that expedi=bad (because mana), but I had an amazing time with brands & later on FR totems.
Does EVERY SINGLE POE Creator have a podcast???? Edit: I will note, I am not complaining. Have to kill time waiting for league start somehow, some of us listen to Podcasts, some of us make them.
I mean, this is probably one of the longest running podcast in the scene, but to your point it seems like 3-4 more started up in the past week. Also not complaining, it's kinda my methadone as I wait.
Yes and no. Most have a group that get together before league start and SOMETIMES after the first couple weeks and that's it. Fated is one of only a few that is consistent I'd what I'd describe as a podcast team (Balor and Cat) instead of it being a group of creators getting together to one off chat about the new league while they are bored and wait.
I look forward to the podcasts every league. Thank you!

Nah most people won’t use it

Regarding Uniques in build guides - You're all speaking from trade perspectives ;) I think there are many more SSF players than you realize...

37:29 GGG paid the poedb guy's holiday for sure 😂

Glad bleed bow looks dead to me...none of the setups make sense anymore...

I'm skipping this cause who is uncle jay??? Why is he even on this podcast??? Plus with his weird accent I can't.
Kalandra was miles better than Affliction, Necropolis, Scourge, Sentinel, Sanctum...
Ew
Concept was cool, massive failure in implementation. Their insistence on sticking with the horrible loot changes for as long as they did killed it.
Very unpopular opinion
