I can't express how happy I am that this track's available on the net again.
FR, wtf happened?
Right
What a timeless band ! This is brilliant.
My favorite band of all time. Seeing them at 'Sudsy Malones' in Cincinnati back in the 90's was one of the best shows ever, so amazing.
OH MY GOD.
you changed my life in high school. This is also my favorite band of all time!!
One of the very best Stereolab tracks. Something ineffable, chic, determined and sweet, with a hidden power or set of powers bubbling under a smooth surface.
I saw them in Toronto in 2000 on a double bill with Sonic Youth...they introduced this song as "new"....I was 10 feet from Mary watching her stare across to Laetitia nailing those harmonies...but still a little hesitant because of how fresh the song was. Just so real and great and beautiful.
Immediately 2021 is better!! 🙌🏻
First of the Microbe Hunters has flown under the radar for too long! The world needs to know the power! Wish they gave this album a full, separate reissue, but this compilation is a good plan B.
Nomus Et Phusis !!!!!
I agree , I've just pre ordered Electrically Possessed - Switched On Volume 4, 3 part vinyl.
Missed the first press but still happy to get this.
Firs of the Microbe Hunters is so underrated and this song and I Feel the air from another planet are two of my favorite Stereolab songs.
The drumming is so damn good in this track
Microbe Hunters is in a way is my favorite Stereolab release. It's always been a go to when I was feeling fatigued on other releases. It has a immediate spontaneous feel that just seems like the band throwing out brilliance at random and I have plenty of memories of immediately enhancing my environment with it.
Thanks to 6 music for playing Stereolab during lockdown as i wouldn't have found this band
Hopefully this means we are getting a new album this year👀
Prbly not unfortunately, they did a similar slate of releases when they reissued “Dots and Loops” and “Emperor Tomato Ketchup” so this is prbly just the lead up to another deluxe remaster
I love it! Stereolab songs always sound nostalgic! even when i never heard them before!
You nailed it! Stereolab sounds to me like a memory of something that probably never existed, but you wish it did.

Got a righteous persona vibe from this.

Wow.

First of the Microbe hunters was I think the last truly great release. I remember buying this on CD in Oxford Street the day came out..Don’t think anything Makes me feel more nostalgic for being 19 years old than this!
Sound Dust is also truly great.

Yes. This was originally on 2000's First of the Microbe Hunters.
pity they picked from one of their least interesting period. miss the switched on/transient burst/mars audiac quintet era
it’s the only era left to compile tracks from lol
